You can sell your products using amazon, ebay and etc....
So you don't need a domain name and website.

I am also looking for that. However, I got disappointed once the sites have some payable like Wealthy Affiliate. I've a read a blog about this and it was very encouraging, however, upon signing up, there's a fee. I actually don't want to start like that especially for fears of scams right?

Start by getting registered in their respective websites, most retailing sites have two options for registration (consumer and sellers). Register as a seller, the e-commerce website will send you the terms and conditions (of course there is a fee when you post your products in their website, they need profits too) and ask if you agree to them. Some say that there are e-commerce website that offer free advertisement or reselling of a seller's product but most trusted e-commerce website have fees( which is reasonable, for the fees are also used to protect the buyers and sellers and ensure customer satisfaction)

Depending from which country you are on. I suggest you try browsing on these sites and check other popular shopping websites where you can post your products for free initially and then when your product sales are enough to purchase a website, then you can post on your own website.

You can start the online business without website or domain name but you will need to contact the other providers who have already developed their sites. But as those third party providers will sale your products, there won't be any direct communication between clients and you. You will have to pay some percent of amount or profit to those providers too.

I would suggest, develop your own site, instead of using the service of third party provider. It will be one time investment for website design, development, ordering the hosting service, domain registration but it will be beneficial for you. Once site will get get functional then you just need to pay yearly or monthly for your web hosting service and domain renewal.

Hope this will help you. :)

You can but I wouldn't. If you sell on ebay and amazon you will make money if you have a good product. However, you'll also have to wait a certain amount of time to receive your funds. Upwards of almost 2 weeks I believe. They take out fees as well. Now if you sell on your own personal website, you can invoice people for services. Once the invoice is paid, you'll get the money almost immediately.

You can set up an e-commerce site without having a website, I discovered that there are people selling their wares on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. I have seen Facebook pages and groups of products being made to give information and sell the products at the same time educating the members more about their products.

Yes it is possible to do online business without having your own website. There are platforms where you can sell your products. You can advertise your products on different social media, blogs and so on. But it would be a lot better if you do and have all - your own shop on several platforms and your own website. It takes money and time but it'll be worth it.

Yes you can! By using Facebook or any social media accounts you will be able to start your business. You can connect with others through this. If you are fund of selling products, you can create a page and post all you want to sell. In fact there are more chances to earn there than having your own website. Having business with your own is not good enough to start, or you can do both technique, having your own website and share the domain in social media by posting it.

Yes you can still set-up E-commerce even without website. You can use Facebook, Instagram as your platform. It's free and you can come up with your own designs. The presentation would make a big difference, so make it unique and attention catching.

Yes you can but it will be harder than having your own website. But it's doable. You might be considering too much spending when you're only starting up but you will have to, eventually when your business picks its pace up into selling. There are numerous free services you can do to sell your stuff. Some websites just need your legitimate permits from your government in order to be accepted to post your goods to their websites. It all really depends on the site's rules and regulations. They just have to establish that you are a legitimate seller and then you're good to go. They will just charge you on each sold item bought from their site.

Of course you can. However you should ask yourself a few questions first. Do you want to build followers or a mailing list? Do you want to sell direct to customers rather than via a third party platform such as eBay? Do you want to have complete control over the design and functionality of your business? If your answer to any of those questions is yes then it's worthwhile creating a website at the very start, hopefully before someone else takes your domain name!

Many people these days are successful promoting thei products without any website. There are alternative ways you can do to succeed in your business. Most common is through social media, you can post your products there. You can even join groups that are doing business, too. It helps promote your business. Other platforms are online buy and sell sites like ebay, lazada, amazon, etc.

Yes you can social media nowadays are very common for online business number one of course facebook. You can create a page in your face book account or simply you just post your selling items there. My two sisters uses facebook too for their realty business they are selling house and lots but of course the paid facebook for their page and for a legit transactions. But having your own website is much better to have an online business to see more of your information and also what about what's the use of your product.

I want to ask the same question too. I don't know how to make my own website, but I started to learn right now, by watching some videos through internet, I want to start a affiliating program also, and based on the videos I need to have my own website, so I decided to study how to make my own website first.

Actually you can start working as an affiliate
even if you don't have your own site. You
can post your affiliate links and banners,
which you can get from the the site your
working with, you can do Amazon for
instance. All you have to do is go to
their site and register as an affiliate and
post your affiliate link and banners in
Forums like this.

Almost all selling sites nowadays have
their own affiliate programs, so you've
got lots to choose from. And I would
recommend that if your just starting
out, to just do postings first and make
your site later.

I think it would depend on what kind of business you want to start. The advantage of a website is that it is a way of advertising yourself, your services and your products. It also looks more professional and you seem more established. It's a way of building trust with your potential clients.

There is information all over the internet on how to build a website. Use Google and YouTube to look for this information. Alternatively, you can hire someone to create a website for you, using freelance websites like Fiverr, Freelancer, and Upwork.

You can also take classes on website creation from Udemy. Some of the courses are free. Good Luck.

As some other members have suggested, Facebook is one way to get into e-commerce without a domain name and a website. I have dabbled a bit with Facebook and here are some things I have learned along the way:

1. Facebook is free.
You don't have to pay to be a member. And you don't have to pay to use it. Of course, you need your internet connection.

2. Facebook is reliable.
It hardly fails. Or, put it another way, relative to many other servers, it's a whole lot more reliable.

3. Facebook is growable.
Yes, that's a weird way of putting it but that's actually what happens. Facebook is free, true, but if you want to spend some money, you can pay to boost your posts. At a very low price. Something like $1 to reach 1k people. Or $1 to get 1k video views.

Good post then! but I would correct some points on it because it is not 100% exact as you said.

Facebook is not quite free if you go with their paid ad, for free advertising on Facebook, it will spend more time and effort if you go with free option.

2. Facebook is reliable.
It hardly fails. Or, put it another way, relative to many other servers, it's a whole lot more reliable.
Of course is Facebook is reliable but you still cane be lain by someone on Facbeook. So take care on that!

3. Facebook is growable.
Yes, that's a weird way of putting it but that's actually what happens. Facebook is free, true, but if you want to spend some money, you can pay to boost your posts. At a very low price. Something like $1 to reach 1k people. Or $1 to get 1k video views.
Yes boost your posts on Facbeook with paid ads is a good way to reach out to your audience but I tried and it is not effective like other ad networks as Google or advertising on high traffic sites.

The rest is I am wondering how you can sell on Facebook for free? I mean how you will setup an online business on Facebook without a website or domain name.

Hope I added a bit more info to your posts :)

Ok, I truncated the quote so that I can concentrate on your pertinent question.

How to setup an online business on Facebook without a website or a domain name?

Well, in Facebook, as far as I know, there are three ways of establishing a presence. One, is by creating a personal account. Two, is by creating a page. Three, is by creating a group.

You always start with a personal account. That, basically, is your brand. Then, you can choose to create a page or a group. A page functions differently from a group. I found that a page has some extra features when doing a live session, as compared to a group. However, a group gives you flexibility in choosing the visibility of your activities. You can make your group public, private or secret.

So, do you need a website to do all that? No, Facebook is your website.

Do you need a domain name to do all that? No, Facebook is your domain name. Your personal account, or page, or group is a subdomain of the Facebook domain.

Hope that helps answer your question. Thank you.

If you have e.g. "just" 100 products, how would you sell them on Facebook without an e-shop or own website?

Good question.

As far as I know there are three ways you can sell products on Facebook. The first way is to do it directly from your wall. Some people create accounts specifically to sell things. Another way is to create a group for people who are interested in some common ideas. Like, say, you can create a group for people who like cycling and everything to do with cycling. Then after you have a sizeable group, you can start selling products related to cycling. I have seen many people doing that. One other way is to make a page. Don't start by promoting a product or 100 products. Start by posting about things in a focussed area of interest. Let's say you want to sell camping gear. Then start posting about camping sites, camping stories, etc. When your page gets a sizeable following, you can start selling your camping gear.

Can you sell 100 products, or even more, on Facebook?

Why not? Only thing is, don't overwhelm your readers with a tsunami of products. Introduce your products one at a time. My daughter has been selling products on Facebook for years. She started with just one product, a head scarf. Now she has branched into beauty products and the latest addition to her Facebook store is health products.

So, it can be done. You can sell 100 products, or even more on Facebook, without a website or a domain name. Just do it. Thinking and thinking and thinking about it alone won't sell anything.

Yes, that works in such scenario, but it won't work for products, where you have to choose "options, sizes, features" etc. Next thing is the payment solution. In your example, you can maybe use PayPal, but you will have to create one "button" for each product (not handy). In sume, such solutions are possible, but it's unacceptable for building a professional business.

You have a point there. Using Facebook alone to do business is a quick and easy way to get started. When you have got started, then you need more professional tools, which work with Facebook.

For this purpose, you have a number of choices, many of which have free entry-level plans. Some of the apps you can consider would be Ecwid and Shopify. These are professional apps with all the bells and whistles of full-fledged ecommerce applications, including "options, sizes, features, etc". In fact, they are full-fledged ecommerce applications. One of their main features is that they integrate with Facebook.

Which brings us back to the original question. Yes, it is possible to set up an online business without a website and a domain name. Start with Facebook. Grow with Facebook. Start by doing it on your own. Grow by making use of the professional ecommerce apps which integrate with Facebook. Still no website or domain name needed.

By the way, I am not an employee of Facebook nor am I paid to promote Facebook. I am just sharing some ideas about how to use Facebook.

For me it is important to have a website if you have a business . Through website you can freely do and endorse your business there. It helps you to have a name online so that if people are interested with your products it is easy for them to communicate or transact with you.

Yes, you can but there are many circumstances in doing that. But you know that it it better to have your own website so that time will come that you will just focus on your business alone. If you have website on your own, it will click because the consumer will get attracted to the main website and mind you, it is easy to make a website if you are eager in your business. You should know how to work and run for it.

Yes you can start a business without a domain name. With the continuous growth of social media sites especially Facebook, you can easily advertise your products just by using your own personal account. We are all aware that almost all people have Facebook accounts, so advertising your products through Facebook has a vast chance of it being popular and known to many.

Sure, but you need to put some things into consideration. To set up a business without a web, you have to ask yourself some questions. Who are your targets or your potential customers? Or put it this way : to whom are you selling your products? Your business can survive and even bloom and flourish without a website or a domain even a blog but will lack a business term called "online presence". A business without a website or domain is common in Africa. I use Africa as a case study because that is where I reside and I know what is happening there. You will see market women display their wares or goods in the open market place and still make sales. Having a business without a website or even domain would only make your goods or products lack online presence.
As we all know, the world has gone digital. Digital is synonymous to online. To give your product digital presence will not only put your goods to a global audience but will also drive massive traffic which will make everyone online particularly on the website in which your gods are advertised know about your product. Some may even buy the product and this will eventually increase your sales and also your profit. Your can even set up a blog to promote your products. This will increase your earning. And it is uch more easier to set up online business than the physical market place because the business won't be constrained by time, space and distance.
