MANY CHOOSE TO TRANSFORM THEIR HTML SITE TO WORD PRESS FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS :

1. EASE OF USE
2. NO OVERHEADS
3. UBIQUITOUS
4. SCALABILITY
5. SEARCH ENGINE FRIENDLY
6. SEAMLESS INBUILT BLOGS

For me i prefer HTML site because WordPress websites while easy to use provide for too many security issues and response times to be the complete package. There are many plug-ins available to help with these issues, many website owners don't have the knowledge to be able to fully manage a WordPress website, whereas a html website doesn't offer the ease of use, it provides great security and generally a faster load time, helping with the SEO. If someone wants a general brochure website without needing bells and whistles of a CSM, a html websites is what should be provided, too many developers are offering WordPress as a Web solution just because it is easy and many don't have the skills to build in html, css and js for example.

Well it depends. If you want to be your own boss; and by that I mean you can add more stuff into your website as it grows and independently update your website with new information, then Wordpress is the place for you. While on the other hand if you want a static website where you will never bother updating it, then HTML sites fit perfectly to the profile.

I've been managing my own website for a couple of years now, and I have only ever used WordPress. So far it's been enough for my needs and I've never felt the need to learn HTML, although just by using WordPress, easy as it is, you still pick up a thing or two about HTML along the way.

I think that it depends on just how 'professional' you want your site to look and work. For example, if it's your own personal blog then there really is no need for all the bells and whistles, but if you're building a business or brand, then you might consider using HTML. For those in the know, am I right or am I wrong about this?

If you are asking how to differentiate between an HTML and WordPress site then you can go its page source and look for wp- prefix in asset and other linked files. wp- is usually present inside WordPress websites. There are also online tools available that can help you in identifying.

It depends on your interest. For me HTML is easy to learn and code. Also, you can have wide range of color codes and other features that helps in making your site more professional.
