How do I convert an HTML website with hundreds of articles into a website of WordPress articles?

I have an HTML website with roughly 750 articles. I want to convert them to WordPress because WordPress has features that I want to use with the existing articles and new articles going forward. My hosting provider says I can do it manually. I have too many articles for that. What should I do to convert my website's hundreds of articles to WordPress?

It is not that fancy or complex of a site, and I have few pictures. The articles are mostly text with some hyperlinking and italics. Most of the font is the same throughout. There are categories associated with each article. I could potentially write a program to list the categories associated with each title. Associating the categories with each article should not be too difficult manually. I have my website in a .zip file.

I have these options (other than paying a company $2,000 or more):

- https://thethemefoundry.com/blog/html-wordpress/
- https://www.elegantthemes.com

Does anyone have a recommendation one of the above or something not listed to get my site to becoming a WordPress site?

I believe that your hosting provider said right, you should convert your html template into Wordpress template manually without using an automatic tool to convert, it will be hard to control things on your site later or developing your site better.

If you don't know how to convert your template to a Wordpress theme, you can hire a WP developer/coder for this, they will do it for you, just google it.

I know of no tool to import content into Wordpress. It probably is possible with a plugin. There's a few, some have good reviews some have bad.
Start by looking here.
I found it by looking at this guide.

Probably not a good idea to use an automated converter. I did know of one that quite a lot of people, but for the life of me I can't find it.
I suppose it can't hurt to just try it.
However, it seems pretty simply following this guide. I'm not a web developer by any means, though.

There are numerous services offering Wordpress integration. Freelancers, companies it really depends on what you want to choose - and how much you're willing to pay.

I'm not sure is it still relevant for you, there's one more company to your list which performs migrations from HTML to WordPress online. It calls CMS2CMS and is pretty useful
