First you will need to learn how to properly splice the PSD into the smaller files. Next, you will need advanced knowledge of XHTML/CSS/HTML5. It is not a simple task, and takes a specific skill set. For years now I have attempted to learn and failed, and I am a programmer/technician.

There is photoshop plugin called SiteGrinder. It is able to convert your psd Template into valid html file. It do everything automatically, even turning text layers into html text.

You just have to rename your layers with specific suffix to inform the plugin about the type and nature of the element that supposed to be in the HTML file.

Yes that is possible but not recommended. Its better for the beginner to learn from the scratch. @Epic try to enjoy learning html/css. Use google search for tutorial or try to ask many expert here in the forum while doing your html/css thing.

I never heard of this plugin before.

Does it convert the PSD with no errors? How do you name the layers?

1. Learn HTML + CSS
2. Search on Google for tutorials.
3. Practice!

Purely converting it will result in a terribly coded HTML file - so if you're actually planning to use it as a webpage, I'd advice you against that. It'll come down to slicing it up good (using for example Photoshop), and coding it well. If you do not possess these skills, then I'd either spend time learning them, or hire someone to do it for you. PDF to HTML-work is usually not too expensive.
