What blog site do you recommend for beginners?

Hello everyone, I am a newbie here in this lovely forum. I Just want to ask for your recommendation of what website is the best to start blogging? And if you could share tips as well? Especially on promoting your blog.

Hello there!

I would go with "WordPress" (I don't know if you've heard about it), but in my opinion it is the best platform currently and it is very user friendly, especially for beginners. It is the most used and popular open source CMS (Content Management System) written in PHP. WordPress is easy to use, free to install, deploy and also upgrade. The only thing that actually costs is web hosting and domain, but that isn't too expensive. Maybe around $3-$4/month. WordPress officially recommends Bluehost or Siteground. Another thing that can cost you would be commercial WordPress themes but you are not required to use them at all.

WordPress was created mostly for blogging and it is a great tool for those type of websites. It has a lot of free themes and tutorials on how to use it. I would start with it for blogging.

The best way to get more traffic is to first have interesting, unique content on it. Have a good SEO strategy so your website would be indexed correctly and available in search engines. After you have great content on your blog, you can have banners on other websites that have visitors that are interested in the topics you are writing about.
