It is worth trying Godaddy Wordpress hosting for new websites or should we find a regular hosting? I had a look on basic Godaddy wordpress hosting and they are offering $3.99/mo and $8.99/mo when you renew for 1 website, 10 GB Storage, ~25,000 monthly visitors and sFTP. Are there any hosting providers out there better than Godaddy?

Yes, Godaddy managed WordPress is the best choice for you. I have my blog hosted with them for 1 years and never had any issues.

If you are wondering if it would be good for a WordPress site for the start, the answer would be yes. However, my recommendation would be to go with the regular hosting from the start in order to avoid migrating website later from WordPress hosting into regular hosting. Of course, if this would be a simple website with no prospects for growth, this choice could be great.

I have bad experience with Godaddy hosting in the past because I could not run my Wordpress site there because of error can not connect to database. I changed to a regular hosting that my friend recommended and everything was solved.

Managed WP hosting is usually a good option if you are a complete novice to WP and don't know how to manage your site and server. It also offers better loading speed and less downtime.

I've never used GoDaddy's Managed WP hosting, but I've been a client of their regular shared hosting and wasn't impressed with their service and customer support.

If you need a Managed WP hosting, I recommend Bluehost, Siteground (both these companies are recommended by Wordpress.org), or Hostgator's managed WP.

I would recommend going for dedicated wordpress hosting. The packages are tailored to the wordpress user and come with many benefits

In my country many of contact me for fixing their website (for free ;) and saw that most of got "Resource exceeded or Bandwidth Exceeded".

And they got no support for wordpress, etc related issue from GD and that's the reason why they look for help from me. (They know me from my native blog).

I would go somewhere else because all they are going to do is increase your prices. You want to go to a place that has great support that can grandfather in your prices.

I suggest that you look for a regular hosting and purchase a server. Honestly, I never used GoDaddy hosting. I purchased a domain on GoDaddy, the price is really cheap at the first year, but the following years the price became higher and higher.

It's very limited and you are confined to very specific WP hosting. They have a fee for everything. I tried it personally myself to see and it was disappointing to say the least (but good news for us). They have branding and name recogniztion like crazy so their business model works for them (bad news for us).
