Can you give me tips on how to become artistic in designing?

Hello to all professional graphic designers out there. I really want you to share some tips on how to become more artistic in your works and also how to become a professional like you? I know how to use Photoshop (Lol) for serveral years but little knowledge in Illustrator. When it comes in graphic designing, what factor should I focus on? And when it comes in creating design from scratch, what should I keep in mind? Really appreciate your feedback.

For me it's not necessary that you're so very good with all kinds of applications. All you need to have is a wide imagination and lots of creativity. Just be creative with your designs so it will look attractive and different from others. If you are very creative your design will look professional even the creator is not.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah that's what I mean, how to be more creative and have some wild imagination because I think I lack those skills you know.

Hi Raffido08!

Actually you can start with travelling. Try to wander so you can have ideas. Most of the great ideas came from surroundings. The next step is how you will play with the image on you surroundings. You can also try to go in an exhibit once in a while. Just look on your surroundings and just be amaze how the scenes were made. That's where your imagine will start to widen.

Tips!!!

First tip I can share you on how to become artistic in designing is that make yourself absorb things you see on the internet. Search some stuffs and designs, gather knowledge on how to make use of the editing tool properly, and seek for an inspiration. Before I start in designing something, one thing I ask about myself is that "What is my goal for this thing?", and after I create my plans, I'm going to start searching other inspirations like other past designs so that I can improve and create something unique for something I am going to do. And of course, one important thing is that you should be creating designs based on what you feel and what you like.
