OVH increases VPS price

Last time I could buy a small VPS with price $3.4/month but today I check OVH and they selling at 4.99 for these specs

OpenStack KVM
1 vCore(s)
2.4 GHz
2 GB RAM
10 GB SSD
Local RAID 10

what do you think about this? Is there any another provider offering better price?

They possibly upgraded their nodes with newer processors.

I don't really have an opinion since I'm a host myself.

But you can get one of their "Public Cloud" instances for 3.50 a month with similar specs.

They are charging slightly more for their DDoS protection now.

Even with this new prices, their offer is very attractive.
I don't see many big-dog-hosts offering that level of protection as OVH for their prices...

They are charging more money for DDos protection as it is mentioned before. This is not only for new customers by the way but also for the old one.

Yeah but to be fair, the prices there are already dirt cheap! Prices are always going up in the world, so in effect so will hosting prices!
