Hi all,

I'm starting small business and would love for someone to tell me what specs should I look for in a VPS?

I'm going to be installing 10-15 WordPress or OpenCart sites
all websites are new, so their won't be a lot of visitors.

I want VPS to host these websites

what is the minimum RAM/Cores/Traffic...etc is needed for this?

if you are going to suggest a VPS provider, I need VPS with cpanel and my max budget is $40-45

Thank you

Hello @VIP Guest,

If you are going to use cPanel, you can purchase a VPS with Centos 7 on a provider like OVH, digitalocean, linode or Vultr and install cPanel yourself with a single command :

Code:
cd /home && curl -o latest -L https://securedownloads.cpanel.net/latest && sh latest
You will need at least 2GB RAM, but 4GB isn't too much for cPanel.

For 10-15 WordPress sites but almost they are new and having less visitors then 4 GB RAM, 2 or 4 CPU cores are good specs to run them with good performance.
I am sure you will need to install ecommerce plugins on your sites so you should have more RAM and CPUs to run these sites because according my experience, running WP with ecommerce plugins are very weight and it requires a good VPS for that.

There are many providers in this section, you can choose one.

Make sure you will ask them first to see how they will support you and testing with your sites before stick with them for a long term.
