I always have to move my sites to new hosting at least a year a time and it happens regularly and the important thing is how to keep search engine rankings when moving sites.
In your point of view, what is the best way to move these websites without losing the SEO and keyword rankings?

One of the best things would be to lower TTL to make sure DNS updates quicker. If moving content to a different domain then make sure all the correct redirects are setup correctly before updating the domain etc. The usual really.

As Hostxnow pointed out, you need to avoid long downtime when moving a website to a new web host. If Google spiders visit your sites daily and if your site downs for a long time, it will not be good for search engine rankings and your keyword may be decrease on search results.

In the past I used a slow web hosting with many downtimes and my site SEO couldn't increase positions on SERPs. That's reason why we need to find a good hosting and web hosting can affect SEO a bit more.

I agree with Hostxnow. if you want to make the DNS update faster, you can also use cloudflare as DNS hosting -> https://www.cloudflare.com/dns/
So you will have a worldwide DNS propagation in less than 30 seconds :reallyexcited:
And as they offer one of the fastest DNS service available ( https://www.dnsperf.com/ ) it will also improve your SEO score

I didn't know of this website, thanks for sharing it. One thing that surprised me at looking at the charts was how poorly DigitalOcean performed. Some of the other results were quite interesting but that's the one that stood out to me.

This thread this been thoroughly answered however I will give you a couple of points to help in the future.

1. Lower TTLS a day before doing the move
2. If changing to a different domain name just do a 301 redirect from the old domain to new, this will result in minimal SEO benefits lost.
