If the CSF firewall is installed on the WHM server, we can remove IPs from the blacklist from the WHM panel itself. Here I am providing the steps to do that:
  1. Log in to the WHM panel as root and go to plugins and select the option 'ConfigServer Security & Firewall' or you can search it from the search bar on the left.

  2. Scroll down and find the option 'csf - Quick Actions'.

  3. You can add the IP that needs to be removed from the blacklist in the 'Allow IP address' option and press 'Quick Allow'.

  4. Once it is removed, you will get a log with the details.

Hey David,

Great question! This would depend on your hosting provider some providers deploy cPanel to your server via a pre configured template that the hosting provider created and some make some edits to include things like CSF by default.

However do you have root access to your server? If so you may use this to see if it is installed and active:

systemctl status csf

Let us know if you have any questions.

The IP Blocker interface allows you to block access to your site for one or more IP addresses or fully qualified domain names (FQDNs).
