Moving content from old domain to new domain?

Hey there,
I want to move content from a old domain to a new domain site without loosing traffic.
how to do right way? do I need to use 301 redirect or some thing else when moving site content?

Yeah! 301 redirection (permanent) is one of the best choice for avoiding page duplication issue, because with 301 redirection technique, you are supposed to maintain the back links and traffic.

Do a 301 redirect for all http requests that are going to the old domain.

You need to do a 301 redirect of each individual page to its corresponding new page.

if the strucuture is the same, just 301 main domain, if you are changing the structure, you need to make some conditions and rules in htaccess

If I were you, I'd offer a sort of splash page from the old one to new one, of course accepting you have two hosts. If you have one, the 301 should suffice, but if you had a splash page you could send them to a specific page and/or post you'd like to rank highest.
