Blogger with Own Domain for SEO?

Could any one give me an advice, which SEO on a blogger with own domain or keeping the same URL from which Google gave me, then which is better? why?

I am building a blogspot but I am getting confused about this.

Do not try to SEO a blogspot URL!

Get your own domain and perform SEO for your domain. This way, if you decide to move your blog to a different platform later, you can take your domain with you and retain your SEO rankings.
