Hey Fellow WMS,

I've been working on a new site for a few nights now and I wanted to get your opinion. I love honesty as it helps me improve my sites so constructive criticism is what I'm looking for. Thanks in advance... hxxp://marketingwithedson.com Replace xx with tt.

Hi there!

I went to the main page, and it's asking me to put in my email in order to go further. I understand Webmasters do this to encourage sign ups to their site, but for me it's a deterrent.

Personally, I don't sign up for something that I can't really check out.

Sorry. :(

Hey Natural Writer,

Thanks for your input but I was not asking for you to sign up. I wanted to know about the layout, the colors, the design. I'm using this website for my subscribers that want to take their online business to the next level.

I completely understand your take on not wanting to sign up because you know nothing about the marketer from the start but that was not my point. I just wanted to get input on the design.

I couldn't grasp the point of the website immediately. It could be because the mono white font (which kind of looks squished together) doesn't stand out and the written content itself doesn't tell me exactly what I'm looking at. I think you need better slogans that let the visitors know exactly what they could gain and what they have to input to reach that gain.

Hiya Edson!

Nice one!! I really like your landing page... Nice template, I see you are using optimize press for that... Simple straight to the point! I would increase the font on the right hand side bullet list... Also you might want to add a sub headline below the video which captures your USP as to why people should signup to you... a simple one liner e.g. let me show you over my shoulder step by step as to how I earn a solid living online ....

Wishing you best of luck with launching your campaign! I'm sure its gonna go awesome.... Look forward to hearing an update....

Cheers,

Sid

Thank you for all the replies, I will make sure and add some of the changes. yes Optimize Press 2.0 is the best and works very well to make changes. Sid what do you think about the white lettering? I sometimes look at it and it hurts the eyes?

Yeah I agree that white lettering doesnt stand out as well as it should due to the background lettering overlapping your text (as both are white)... I would increase the current font size on the title too and make it more bold...

I'm not sure what colour would go best with the current background... Obviously try different shades, black or whether you can change the background colour or remove the background lettering where it is obscuring your headlines... Looking at it - orange definitely stands out and seems to work in my opinion... So perhaps change the font to orange and the optin button to red, green??? However that may make it too noisy with colours as currently its cool with the optin button standing out....

With all that said - I think I would increase the font and add a border/shadow effect on your title so that it stands out better from the current background.... with trying to keep it as it is as close as possible - as the call to action stands out nicely.... and too many other colours may distract from that all important call to action....

Hope that helps!

Cheers,

Sid

The background makes it hard to read the headline. I think you should also let the video auto-play. The call to action button is too far, nearly not above the fold which is risky. Maybe adding an arrow that points to the get started button will help.

If you increase the font of the headline it will just push the get started button even further below.

I think no matter what color you choose for the headline won't work because of the background. In the video you must also mention where they should click that will increase conversions don't let them guess.

In the video you say fill out the form, someone will scroll up and down looking for a form and end up living. I don't believe that squeeze page will convert well.

Hope that helps.

Website background made text on it difficult to read, you should change to a better one (clean and less patterns on it).

Open css file:

Code:
hxxp://marketingwithedson.com/wp-content/themes/optimizePressTheme/pages/marketing/1/style.min.css
Find:

Code:
.element-container .element > h1, .element-container .element > h2, .element-container .element > h3, .element-container .element > h4, .element-container .element > h5, .element-container .element > h6, .element-container > h1, .element-container > h2, .element-container > h3, .element-container > h4, .element-container > h5, .element-container > h6
{
  line-height: 1.1em;
}
Change line-height: 1.1em; to a new one bigger like line-height: 1.4em;

then you will solve problems that replies from Nat and Elcidofaguy mentioned above.

Hello Edison,:cool:
I visited your site and find it somehow not-very interesting from the standpoint of a visitor, as I think there is too much text crowded on top of the landing page.

One more thing, I guess you have to use less but more powerful words so visitors can understand your point easily (eg Personally, Finally -- guess they don't add power to your words but just extend the length of the text). Edison, I think you just have to work on better, shorter and more concise slogans and punchlines. :)

Is a little bit too simple, doesn't attract much interest, not from my point of view atleast.
