I have a simple gadget review website which I want to move to a new hosting server because their customer service isn't helpful and also because it's getting too expensive. Now the thing is that I need to archive mails of my hosting account and I don't know how it's done.

Jess what control panel are they using is it cPanel if so?

Make a full backup and provide that to your new webhost and they'll most likely import it for you and get you set-up.

If you search the web you will find these options to archive your mails which are manual methods, online tools and offline tools.

to archive emails you need to check on your hosting account or web system if they support to get email list from which your visitors or client subscribed to your system.

Moving from one host to another is both exciting and daunting at the same time. While you're likely moving to a new host because they have a better plan which offers your more performance, better features, increased stability, and the price that fits your budget there are a few critical steps you should remember to avoid causing yourself unnecessary headaches.

#1 Choose Your New Host Carefully

#2 Do Not Cancel Your Old Account In Haste

#3 Update DNS Records

#4 Alert Your Users Early

#5 Domain Name Registrar Changes

#6 I'm Changing Domain Names

#7 Test Everything Twice

If you have followed all of the steps described above and everything works fine there is nothing else to say but congratulations!

If you have had a difficult with your current hosting firm or if your business just doesn't provide the features that you're considering in a hosting account then you might have definite to move from one firm to another so in theory all you need to do is to transfer the data from your old server to the new server conversely, in most cases this is stress-free said than done.

Ensure that you plan the move to take place throughout a low-traffic period. You should be able to see from your website information which periods throughout the week have low traffic. Think of that the move is going to take 48 hours to complete, at least.

Notify your clients and/or visitors and/or web hosting firm of the move - where suitable.

Keep your old webs hosting account going for as a minimum another week or two to make sure that all the gremlins are ironed out and that the DNS propagation has taken place correctly.

The most significant task in the whole host-changing scenario is to find a host that meets your necessities so that you don't have to go through this complete procedure again in the future.

Thank you. I also had the same problem. I just followed this thread and I'm in a more favourable situation now.
