Hi, Don't care about DA. We all webmaster need to care about only our SERP rankings. Google never take any reference from these third party matrix. I ran behind DA for many years and wasted efforts don't do this.

DA relates to your backlinks for your websites. Did you check backlinks? if your website lose backlinks, your website DA will decrease.

This is usually either due to your site losing backlinks, or the sites linking to your site are losing backlinks.

Domain authority is ranked on a logarithmic score. Don't care about it, it’s a metric made by Moz. Google has nothing to do with DA, and DA in no way influences whether or not your site will rank. DA is an important aspect when it comes to SEO competitiveness. Whoeven says DA is worthless has no idea about SEO or even search for that matter. It is an important signal to Google when it comes to rankings, and the importance of your website in your category and keywords.

This is what you need to do-

1. Get the spam score of your current backlinks. If the spam score is high (above 20 imp), remove those backlinks.
2. Build new healthy backlinks having low spam score (below 15) and high da/pa (60+) within your niche and within your budgets, if you are tapping bloggers/influencers with do-follow links.
3. Disavow all the unnecessary links within your website (internal links which are not needed) and also external links that are eating your domain health (use MOZ tool's free version) for this.

If your website DA is decreasing, then might be you are making the wrong backlink and collecting link juice from the spam websites. So to prevent these issues, first, you have to disavow all the irreverent links and make some good footprints, that can make your business a positive image in fornt of google and your users.

I agree. Low quality backlinks can definitely lower your DA especially if your website is fairly new.
