Bought an .xyz domain. Do I park it or build on it?

My girlfriend makes wire and stone jewelry. She's not ready yet to go online yet. So, I just bought a .xyz domain name that deals with jewelry. Trying to figure out if I should just park it, and take what little income from the links the parked page would give me, (knowing Google doesn't like parked page sites) or put jewelry info articles on it using WordPress and putting jewelry affiliate links in the article. What would you do with a domain purchase that's "not ready for prime time" and what would you put on the site to make some cash, that wouldn't be too involved?

Why don't you buy a .com domain?
I think this domain extension is so cheap and it is not worth to invest for a website. Also, people will not want to buy the domain because .xyz is not attract to buy unless you developed a good website with more traffic for it.

I think the option with the jewelry info articles seems fine.

If I'm working on a site but it's not ready to be published or open to the public, I usually close it but have some sort of a coming soon page with links to a newsletter sign up form or social media pages.
