Go to backup settings and you will find out how to do it by following the steps, choose SSH/FTP of second server and you are good to go.

1. cPanel Backup: (Home directory and Database separately) You can take a Full backup but will contain everything in that cPanel account, Also select a remote destination in your backup configuration in WHM
2. Using SSH: /scripts/pkgacct <cpanel-user> --skiphomedir and then use rsync to sync the home directory to another server. You can write an SSH script and add it to cron to let this happen by itself every day/week or month. (Recommended because its fastest and use fewer resources. )

Do not hesitate to reach me out in case you have any questions.

Be advised, if you don't know how to use SSH, do not go for the second option. You might end up with nothing.

Restore home directory backup in cPanel
  1. Login to your cPanel.
  2. Under the files section, click on Backup.
  3. Click on Choose File.
  4. The name of your backup should now be displayed, so click on Upload.
  5. You should then see the progress of your files being restored.

There are multiple softwares for backing up cPanel servers without affecting the performance.
1. Jetbackups
2. R1soft
3. cPremote

All of these works well and can configure incremental backups which wont affect your server performance.

You can copy data from one server to another and then rsync it using cron to keep backup
