I would suggest, go with the reseller web hosting service, start with it. Once you will start with the reseller service then you will come to know how to manage the clients and services. After getting familiar with the hosting service then you can have your own server. You can setup it and secure it. You can mange your own server.

You should have knowledge of web hosting concept, DNS management, server setup, server security and server management.

Hi carolinasky,

I understood your question a bit differently than what I see has been answered. Just to throw in my 2 cents, what type of businesses would benefit from web hosting? I believe almost any business can benefit from web hosting services. In this day in age the internet is one of the most used and accessible tools for advertising and information propagation. At its basics web hosting is a service that allows you to hold a website on the internet without having to purchase and maintain all the necessary hardware(physical machines that require maintenance like servers). every company can benefit from this, schools can use it to run websites to manage student grades and even school newspapers, to small businesses that are attempting to grow and need to get there name out there to increase business, and everything in between. This gives you an idea to the benefits that can be provided to a business, the benefits are endless really, it all depends on what it is the business wants to achieve.

Now, when it comes to choosing the best web hosting company to go with, it also depends greatly on your specific needs. Details need to be taken into account such as what kind of website do you need, do you have the website created, will you be selling or running social media? what country do you want the company to be based out of? how fast do you want your service to be? will the company offer tech support? all this and more. Reading reviews online from real clients using the services is a great way to get an idea on those details, contacting the companies directly maybe with a list of questions and comparing the companies later on, bottom line there are endless options and sometimes it comes down to trial and error. many companies offer free trials of there services and that lets you get a feel of how that companies does business. anyways that is just the basic overview on this topic but I hope I helped in the least.

Thank you for such clear concise answers and yes you understood my question more so. I actually did a little research before I formed the question and this is the defined answer I was looking for. Once I did my research I got the understanding that almost any business can benefit from web hosting. I also agree that as a consumer deciding which host to go with can be depending upon the type of business you do or the use of the web host? So do you feel that a small local business would benefit? Say a construction company and what could this do for them? How could they apply it to boost their revenue? I appreciate your response and feel that this backs up and helps me have a more clear understanding. I would also love to here your response on the other questions in this paragraph.

I'm not the user you asked but here's my answer. :)
The type of web host suited for you would depend on how much traffic you expect or how much performance you want. Let's consider shared hosting where many websites share one super server. This is low cost but has the possibility of reducing your site's performance. This won't be optimal for a site that would get thousands of users at a time or more. But it would be optimal for a blog you post on every once in a while to pass time or a site with expected low traffic. Now let's consider a dedicated server. It's a server that is dedicated to your site and gives you various privileges. It's much more expensive and high maintenance but it gives you the best performance. This would be best for a site with high traffic(and if you have a large budget). There are types of web hosting other than these two. Only you could decide what is best for you.

Would a website help your small business? Yes! But this depends on your marketing strategy and budget. Let's consider your construction company. You could have a website that lists the services provided by the company and things such as pricing etc. You could display customer reviews and pictures of the projects your company has completed to give the customer a taste of the service you provide. You could utilize targeted ads that appear in an area of your choice to drive more traffic to your website. You could also use the ads by themselves(with Google Adwords Express) but the website would make it seem much more legitimate. The ads and website would boost your revenue by increasing the overall exposure of your business.

The web hosting company will make your website to be available to the public. To answer your question, I believe most, if not all, businesses can be benefited from the web hosting, from a small local business to a giant tech company. One of the thing that you should keep in mind is the location of your server. You might want to look for the business that wants to reach out to their customers that located near your data center. i.e., your data center is in California; then you should look for the company that is located in West Coast or East Coast company with West Coast customer. When the customers experienced lacking in website, they will most likely to find other provider for the same product.
Hope it makes sense.

Web hosting can help any business from a self employed individual to a larger business with many employees. It provides you with an online presence which makes a company or service more accessible to their customer base and target audience. Utilising SEO will also increase your chances of being spotted by potential new customers using Google to search for services for example. People do not use the yellow pages and instead use search engines to look for what they require, web hosting will allow a business to be one of those displayed and by having a well laid out website will encourage customer interaction through a contact me page. I know I have gone a bit off topic here, however I am hoping it has become clearer how helpful web hosting can be. Many people have answered this question here from different angles

I would say any modern business should have a web presence nowadays, even if it's just a basic 'business card' kind of site.

From my experience working with a large web host for 5 years, I found that lots of businesses use their web host primarily for the free e-mail services that come with the web hosting. This is becoming less and less common because it is enormously taxing for the host to manage the e-mail servers "for free." And I think that they can never offer reliable business e-mail hosting. I'm a fan of Microsoft Office 365 e-mail, and I recommend it for my customers.

Web hosting is use to make a site accessible on web or to make it open for the world.

There are distinctive levels of web facilitating accessible as indicated by a site's needs-Shared web facilitating, VPS hosting, Dedicated host, Cloud host and so on.

The determination of any web facilitating bundle for your site depends on the activity your site will get. On the off chance that your website offers for the most part literary data or it's a blog, shared facilitating is adequate.

On the off chance that you will get a ton of activity, facilitating a bustling on the web shop, or sending a ton of data, for example, loads of motion picture downloads, at that point you should think about your own particular committed server with a lot of transmission capacity. Notwithstanding it, on the off chance that you need your site to be protected and never look down time, definitely you should change to the

@carolinasky Businesses do not "benefit from web hosting", they would benefit from having websites. Web hosting is just a service for the websites, "a hotel service for websites". A small local business can take advantage if they organize their operations in a way that the website is useful for their clients.

Good question! Frankly speaking, any business that is willing to reach more potential customers in minimum possible time, today it's online presence has become essential. If your business is not online, then it is likely that you might be losing many customer, who are seeking for your goods and services. Any individual, small to large sized business, eCommerce business for ensuring rapid growth of the business, it is necessary for them to come online. Nowadays, people's reliability towards online presence business has growth exponentially. If the same rate holds, the business which are not online lack competition. Now, let's come to the exact point, hosting is required by all website and webpages for them to become available online 24/7 to the users who are searching for your business products and services in the particular site. Thus, if you want to make your business expansion, it is crucial for you to create your own webpage, where you can list all the goods and services your company provides targeting to the potential customer. Hosting is essential for any website to make it available online all the time via the server. I think it helps!
