I use this speed test app though I'm not really sure if it's accurate. I have also tried speedtest.net but I'm not that convinced. They'd show high speed in times of really slow internet connection sometimes.

Hostapolis,
Me too I go to http://beta.speedtest.net/ if I want to test the speed of my internet. Sometimes I just browse to my web page and the page will give you several speedtest site. I think you have to choose from there what is best for your wifi connection. It's not difficult though just search to your webpage.

Attaching just one computer to your home internet is the key to finding your broadband connection's true speed. From the computer, go to speedtest.net and click "Begin Test." (Alternatively, you can also use other test services such as fast.com, speedof.me, or testmy.net.)

There are numerous testing sites for internet speed, my brother told me that they are not that accurate with the regards to actual speed. While it is true that no internet speed test is 100% accurate, there is still some that is close to actual if not perfection. What he told me is to restart everything first-- the modem, your computer and router. if possible, clear your caches and stop whatever downloading activity you have. Then he says use the HTML5 based testing website. He says the other speed tests sometimes make adjustments because of the tool they have to use.

I also use speedtest.net to check my internet speed. that's the easiest and accessible way to check your internet connection. But I'm open to any options if you have any other recommendation.

I use speedtest.net because it is more accurate and I use a computer that is connected directly by using the ethernet, using only wireless connection won't be able to give you the actual results. In speedtest.net, you will just have to choose your location and just with a simple click you will be able to determine the download speed and the upload speed.

Speedtest is the best and easiest way to do so. And, if you're using a mobile phone right now, you can actually download their app for a quick wifi speed test whenever. Let me just add the fact that you may ask your Internet Service Provider for some support if you find yourself having a slower speed that what you've originally paid for in your plan.

We always use speedtest may it be at home or in our computer shop. This was also a recommendation from our worker in computer shop since it provides the service that we needed accurately and conveniently.

check first if no one is using your internet but you. Then, make sure to be close to the router or if possible make a LAN connection using a cable. The Wi-Fi Status window will appear showing your computer's wireless connection details. The Speed section indicates the connection speed between the wireless adapter and the router. Step 1: Click on the Wireless icon on the bottom-right of your Desktop screen and select Open Network and Sharing Center. Another way is using some speed testing site that they mentioned above.

I've read that not all speed test are created equal, however, I've read that speed test that does not use Flash or Jave is a little more accurate than most of the speed tests available on the internet. Html5 test websites are recommended to get a more close to reality test. One of them is the speedOf.me

I always use speedtest.net. It tests your download speed and upload speed. Speedtest.net has a mobile and android app, so Speedtest.net is number one.

You can directly check your internet accessibility performance to your computer. You just have to rummage through your windows button, so that you can navigate in the setting option right there. Or try to download your wanted files with heavy enough MBs, so you can monitor how much kbps your internet performs in every moment. There are plenty of ways to monitor how much kbps your connection consumes.

I often use http://beta.speedtest.net/ to know the speed of my internet. This platform is really good because you can use different servers around the world. However, if you prefer to use a simple one,you can use https://fast.com/. The only thing about fast is that it only shows the download speed.

For testing your wifi I would highly recommend looking at what channel your wifi is broadcasting on and compare it to your next door nabour, if your both broadcasting on the same channel it could have an impact on performance

There are so many ways to test your internet speed at home the most popular and being used by many is by going into this website http://www.speedtest.net/. You can utilize your IOS or Android smartphone by just downloading the 'Speedtest' app.

The other option is by checking ethernet on Windows. You can do this by doing the following procedures:
1. Make sure that your computer is connected to your router by using an ethernet cable.
2. Click the 'Start' button located at the lower left side corner of your Windows screen.
3. Select the 'Settings' button.
4. Select 'Network and Internet'.
5. Select 'Ethernet'.
6. After, selecting 'Ethernet', click on 'Change adapter options'.
7. Double click on your 'Ethernet' connection
8. Look for the "Speed" value near the bottom of the "Connections" section of information on the Ethernet Status window. The number with the label "Mbps" represents the speed of the connection between your computer and the router.
