I checked VPS offers and realized that US server location is a bit expensive than other locations (UK, NL, FR, CA, GE), why that? what are main reasons?

Where do you see they are expensive at? The US has budget providers just like everyone else you just have to be looking in the right place.

Power Cost
Support Cost
Equipment Cost
The pricing for the above things varies and hence you find the things cheaper or higher however Quality of the service and Support is more important factor.

I think it is by "US" in their offers, "US" mean your will have better or quality services and you might pay higher a bit if you choose US location.

Maybe you find offers with lower specifications or bad quality service and support.
Its all depends of provider.
EU provider for EU residents are expensive because EU have additional VAT about 25%.
All good VPS are From $10 up to $100+ depend of configuration and if they are manged or un-managed.

Usually power is the "make it or break it" here in the USA. The equipment cost is whatever you choose for it to be depending on where your buying it from you can easily surf ebay for some good equipment. Bandwidth cost is pretty stable at this point it again really depends on who you want and the location but power its just high overall.
