For me, some the reasons for the drop in the keyword position are wrong keywords targeted, Google algorithms are changing, Backlinks from sources that are irrelevant or removed, robot.txt file that is incorrect, competitors are getting better content & quality backlinks...etc

In your point of view, What reasons have your keywords dropped on Google search results?

To be honest, I don't even pay attention to stuff like that. I just assume the the product I was promoting stops getting searched for. I mean, if you're updating your blog regularary and/or putting up new sites, it's not a big deal. One thing I learned the hard way a long time ago was to not put all your eggs in one basket (rely on one site for your entire income). (like new product aren't being released like they once were or you don't want to promote the stuff), you're gonna be screwed and have to start from ground zero -- not fun.

Have you looked into the new 12-point algorithm Google's rolling out in 2016?
I read about it on the 360 business local site - their blog is on point.

I would also say that checking your linking strategy is a good move. Most people don't realize how much bad link association can hurt you. If your keywords are traced back to gnarly sites with terrible reputations, the Google monster won't like it
