Now that Google is giving mobile friendly sites more preference in its rankings, did anyone get hit by this update?

One of my blogs decreased 40 visitors a day as google analytic since end of last month because it didn't have a mobile style.

Anyone got the same problems, any shares?

Nope, instead my search engine traffic is increasing. If you got hit by the update then you need to improve your site to be mobile friendly because it's clear that most of your traffic was coming from mobile search.

So it's up to you to decide if you want that mobile traffic or not. But I didn't get hit, maybe my site is mobile friendly. I say maybe because I don't look at that stuff :)

Can you be a little more specific? How do you know for sure it has anything to do with mobile? Was it just mobile organic traffic that decreased? 40 visitors a day is not what I would call a "hit". That could be one keyword moving down one spot.

I am tracking a lot of sites that are not mobile friendly and none of them have lost rankings. A few of them actually increased since the update.

The update was a lot of commotion about almost nothing so far.

Well all of my client websites safe. As soon as I listen about Google mobile-friendlyness algorithm I made all the sites responsive. I did not see any bad effect on rankings for my client sites.

No decrease, but rather a good increase.
