Move from shared hosting to vps hosting

Hi everyone
I have a WordPress website with content. I hosted it with Namecheap shared hosting and I want to transfer my website to Vultr VPS hosting with the same domain name.
How can I do it?

Just buy a new hosting from Vultr and setup a hosting control panel with it.
I also used Vultr VPS but when my website traffic increased then it could not afford and I must move to a new vps hosting. Why you try to find a Vps provider here https://forumweb.hosting/marketplace/categories/vps-hosting-offers.8/ I see that there are more good hosts there with low rates.

As above you just need to purchase a VPS and install a control panel, if you're technical and feeling confident I always recommend EasyEngine (https://easyengine.io/) as a good option for WordPress websites.

Typically, the hosting you switch to helps customers do this. The best option will be to contact the support service, they should reffer you to proper howto post.
You can also do it yourself, but this procedure is more complicated and individual.

Namecheap provides control panel such as cPanel/WHM for web hosting...Consider installing cPanel on your VPS and utilizing the built-in "Transfer Tool" to easily move your account to your VPS server.

The first question I would ask is, do you have the server administration experience necessary to run a VPS yourself?

I see so many people trying to leave a shared hosting environment for the sole purpose of trying to save money, that have little to no experience in server administration and then end up with a hacked server or a server full of malware because they have no idea on how to properly secure it and maintain it.

I would suggest you go with Managed VPS Hosting, and if you want to go with Vultr it is not that hard to set up your Wordpress website over there.

1. Install CyberPanel (Its Free and Fast)
2. Enable CSF (Its free and offer basic security)
3. Move your website files and database
4. Change your DNS to Vultr
5. After Propagation, Install SSL from the CyberPanel
6. And if you get a 404 error on the internal pages of your website, then log in to your WP Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks > SAVE.

You need basic technical knowledge to complete these steps properly, or you can hire someone to migrate your website
