How did you choose your hosting company name?

I would hear your share on how you chose your hosting company name? is it your name or a brand name that you like? or somethings you think it will create your own brand better?

I am Mario Cano the chief executive officer at Fusion Arc Hosting. Choosing a name can be hard and it is very important as the company name is how all will remember you. The name "Fusion Arc Hosting" came from our parent company Fusion Arc Telecom a internet provider company I was starting when I was 16. I wanted the company names to have a meaning so here is the break down of the name:

Fusion - the process or result of joining two or more things together to form a single entity. In our case the network, fiber optic cable routes, etc...
Arc - to me this is like having the parent company Fusion Arc Telecom and all its subsidiaries like Fusion Arc Hosting under that arc. A service provided under the parent company
Telecom - the exchange of information over significant distances by electronic means and refers to all types of voice, data and video transmission.
Hosting - the activity or business of providing storage space and access for websites.

As for how I thought of all this is an interesting question. Originally the parent company was going to be named Xterfamily telecom. However I told a few close people about it and not many liked it. So I spent days and months thinking of ideas until one day after waking up Fusion Arc went through my mind and I really liked. I also really liked it because every part of the name represents something. It represents a network of things working together to create an amazing solution.
