Hello all!
I've browsed lots of websites with reviews on hosting providers. But there is a possibility that these are fake reviews written by the company employees. How to know which website is trustworthy? That’s precisely the thing me and my team are working on right now.
We've decided make our own portal with reviews only from real people. No bots or anonymous users. All reviews are preserved, none of them are deleted, either good or bad as each opinion matters. But we need your help - more reviews! Your reviews can help other people, prevent them from being decived by hosting companies. The website is hostings.info. Your assistance is much appreciated!

There is no best host. It all depends on you & your requirements.
You can either give a try a month if the host accepts monthly payments or check whether they have a refund policy or not & how their refund thing works. ;)

Yeah, I know it is not possible for the hosting provider to be perfect for all users :) Besides, some companies do not have a money-back policy. So, your advice is to basically to choose a provider and give it a try, right? But if you do not have a lot of time? I mean, to test a service, it would take at least 2-3 weeks.

Choose a hosting according to the requirements. But if you understand that virtual hosting is not enough for you, choose VPS. Server and panel VestaCP a great choice for sites.

I doubt such a web host to host a site.

But if you do not have a lot of time?
It would be great to spend a month to test services,
If in case of NO TIME, You can check out offers forum & check reviews here by searching web host name.

Hi had a look at your site and I have to be honest "
"we get commissions from the hosting, but our ratings are honest and the reviews are real." is what every review site claims

Why do you think that affiliate comissions necessarily mean that the top positions in ratings are being sold? We do not advertise any hostings and never sell any positions. You can see for yourself that there are different reviews and not all of them are positive. But those negative reviews ,as well as positive one, are never deleted because people need to know both pros and cons about the hosting provider they're going to use. The main idea is to provide accurate information about hosting providers and reviews from real users. To exclude bots and anonymous users, it's required to check and verify all of them before allowing to leave comments. Also, the hostings are being tested to collect accurate and exact data regarding server uptime or ping time, for example. That's why, it's quite natural that a growing project needs funding.

Hi, It's really difficult to know the best and reliable web hosting provider for a newbie. But if you are in blogging industry, you know there are many pro bloggers who have tested the services and then reviewed them.

WPBeginner is the example of such type of blog by syed balkhi.

You can find the uptime, loadtime snapshot on the reviewed websites. uptime, loadtime snapshotwill give you an ideas about that host. If you ask me, I would recommend you to start a blog with either BlueHost or SiteGround. Both are recomended by WordPress.

I don't believe in review websites but I like reading reviews or benchmarks from blogs or websites where website owners share real things from their using hosting.

How can you check if the users are real? There's a possibility that these are company employees. I am not sure that all forums check if their visitors are real people or real customers. Besides, there are many topics on the forum and it takes quite a lot of time to find what you need.

Moved thread to a more appropriate sub-forum.
Website reviews is for reviews, not suggestions.

I would go with Hostgator, Bluehost and Wordpress. However, when it comes to hosting providers, what works for one person may not work for another person. I would, therefore, urge you to do some due diligence and find out what works for you before making your conclusions.

I would suggest that anyone who needs a web hosting service should compare few different offerings.

I too found that several review sites are biased. Some are actually run by the service providers themselves.
One hosting provider is on top on one review site, and in another review site they don't even exist in top 20. How is that possible?

As a consumer, you need to build your requirements and see who can/may fit you. Money back guarantee may be a safer bet.

Yes, most of of review sites do sell their top rating positions. However, that's why they loose their visitors as they tend not to trust those sites in the end. That's exactly why we have decided to make our own portal with real reviews. Though, it's quite hard to build a good rating without reviews.

Nice! a good review system should allow provider to comment too. I have seen lot of cases where the site owner on a shared hosting server abuses resources(eg large db with slow mysql, spam, high traffic, get hacked) and goes on giving bad reviews on host.

Something like:
  • site owner writes a review, which is not public
  • hosting provider gets notice
  • hosting provider gets 1 week time to respond/justify
  • with justification or 1 week timeout - review goes for moderation
  • review goes public

You can be different from other sites and earn user trust.

Never promote hosting providers for x $. Instead use affiliate programs/coupons or something to add value.

I am also looking for review sites which are giving away coupons.
I want 1month/whatever least period hosting, that I want to show on how to configure BountySite backup and provide some statistics on speed.

I also want to give a short review of the hosting services.

buying a web hosting is little bit difficult unless you don't have sufficient understanding about your business. First you need to learn the significant aspects of your website and its size. whats kind of service you will offer.

After that, you have to focus on two major types of hosting - shared hosting and dedicated server.
If your business is in startup phase, you should choose shared hosting plan.
If your business has crossed the intermediate level then you should go for dedicated sever. Both are offer you different advantages. Before go ahead you must need to make your mindset about your own business.

other types of web hosting-

VPS hosting - if you website's traffic increasing every day and crossed the limit of shared hosting plans then you must go ahead to buy a fastest VPS hosting which offers you higher quality features that shared hosting.

Linux cloud - This the most latest and my favorite web host and future of hosting industry. I strongly recommend you to buy it.

One key feature in review sites, is whether the provider offers Lets Encrypt free SSL.

SSL offers almost every shared hosting, it is not an indicator of quality hosting.

I was under the impression that everyone does. But apparently GoDaddy managed wordpress does not have Lets Encrypt option in interface. Support further confirmed that they dont provide it.

Lets Encrypt has a plugin for CPanel, provided the hosting provider installs it. I found some providers trying to sell vendor SSL and not offering Lets Encrypt.

Just what I observed.
