I want to buy Godaddy privacy protection for my domain name but its price is more expensive if comparing with Namecheap but anyway I wanted to buy some without caring about this. My question: is paying for Privacy worth the money on Go Daddy and other registrar? When should we use privacy protection?

Any comments?

I believe you should use Privacy Protection for whenever you have a domain. It keeps your personal information protected. It honestly should always be included when you purchase the domain.

Use domain Privacy when you want to hide your real information from the internet. You want to avoid receiving spam emails, spam sms, or spam phone call everyday. Currently, both NameCheap and NameSilo are offering Privacy Protection free for lifetime. You can check at them.

I think this depends on your website.

If your website sells goods or digital items, I think not having domain privacy can be good for your buisness and build trust instead of hiding behind masked information.

If you don’t and you’re not a company, domain privacy is a good thing.

I agree that having privacy can prevent spam and gives you privacy for yourself and this is being enforced for GDPR at least for Europe that domains registered come with privacy automatically to my knowledge.

Not to make you feel bad but why would you choose go daddy when you are a member of a wonderful forum filled with offers from independent hosts
that said domain privacy often costs a bit more because it is a service and not often given by default some offer it free but that is dependent on the registrar

Transfer your domain to NameSilo, NameSilo seems to offer the service of privacy protection with free of charge. Moreover, the renewal price is as same as the initial price.NameSilo.png
