Godadddy claims to be the world's number 1 registrar. It's also one of the cheapest. You cloud get a .com domain for as low as $1! Before you pay, you are presented with different up sells. One of them is Privacy Protection.

GoDaddy Privacy Protection hides your personal information - name, email, address and phone number in the public WHOIS directory, prevents domain-related spam, helps to protect your domain against hacking, and also helps prevent stalkers. The cost of this service is $10 per year.

There's an even a higher level of protection you can avail of called the privacy and business protection which usually costs a whopping $39 a year! It provides additional protection like prevention of accidental domain expiration, prevention of malicious transfer, adds McAfee Secure, etc.

Is availing of the Godadddy privacy protection package with it?

Domain privacy or WHOIS hides the domain registrant's personal information from the public WHOIS database. If someone knows a registered domain name, they can dig deeper into your personal data for the purpose of identity theft.
This is more like a precaution. At the end of the day, the final decision lays in your hands.

Yes GoDaddy Privacy Protection is Worth for someone wants to hide their personal information but I would not use this service if I am doing business online because everything needs to be clear to visitors and my clients. They may know who i am or contact me if they check whois domain.

In other words, if you need use free Privacy Protection then I would recommend go with Namecheap, free for first year and renew $0.9 for next years as i said in these threads.

Whois protection is definitely worth it, nowadays there are many hosts and domain registrars which offer free Privacy Protection without renewals.

All privacy protection is the same. The question is do you want your name and address publicly listed to show against the domain you have registered. If that dpoesnt bother you the answer is no its not worth it . But if the answer is yes then its worth every penny
