Nginx limit bandwidth?

I am running a VPS with Nginx web server, I want to know if Nginx can limit bandwidth on per account on my hosting panel? I heard that it is possible to set a limit connections and download speed in Nginx. Is that true?

You need to set limit_rate and limit_rate_after directives in the Nginx. When you will set the rate limit that time, the Nginx will limit the HTTP GET and POST request. It is also used for security purpose that is if someone is trying to do the brute force attack the number of attacks will get limited for your server. So it is possible to set a limit connections and download speed in Nginx.
