It would be wise to select Facebook for advertisements. The difference between the number of users are far too great to set aside. You will attain a huge crowd of viewers on Facebook compared to Instagram and that seems favorable for you since audience is what advertisement demands. Now let's talk about the cost, putting advertisement on Facebook on the other hand will surely cost you a lot while Instagram probably require less. But I highly suggest that you should go and advertise on Facebook where most people are around.

I prefer Facebook advertisement because of its many users. Yes, Instagram are also many users but I think many people are easy to access Facebook. You can use Facebook free, even you don't have load. For example in our country which is the Philippines there are network who has a promo of free FB access. Unlike IG, you need a stable internet connection to use it. And many celebrities use ig, they are not that interested in advertisement because they have sponsors. In FB you can promote and advertise your product or services in any kind of people, rich or poor, young or old.

you can't operate instagram on pc. It can only be operatable via mobile phone. That's the drawback. so, facebook is better choice.

For me, you can use both, there are people who browse more on Instagram than Facebook, but people who browse more on Facebook are 5 times more than Instagram so I suggest use Facebook or focus on giving advertisement on Facebook aside from the fact that it is hard to operate Instagram using computer. Also, Facebook has lots of features that you can use in your advertisement such as Groups and Pages you can create anytime you want.

I think it really depends on what you're wanting to advertise and to what demographic. Trial it for a month or so on both platforms, then review and see whether it's better to go with one over the other or continue with both.

Yes this is a good way to test to see which ad platfrorm will work for us. As my experience then Facebook ad didn't work for me, I spent hundreds of $ for it but it doesn't help to increase sales for my sites, seem it only works with some niches. I would go with free advertising methods if we are using Facebook.

People nowadays tend to prefer “express” and not really dwell much on one post, unless they really like reading. I think if your strength is advertising using catchy images, use Instagram, especially if your product is new in the market. I think for an advertisement to be effective, it has to catch your eye. And for me, you can actually do that using Instagram. You can use it as a “frontliner”. You can link your Instagram ad to Facebook, where you can put a more detailed information about the product.

An Instagram ad, usually is part of the feed, not like on Facebook, it is usually on the side, unless you pay higher for the ad, or you have your own page.

Another advantage of Instagram is that, not everyone advertise on Instagram yet, so you have less competition as compared to Facebook.

You can actually use both, since Facebook owns Instagram, which means, you can link your Instagram ads on Facebook and vice versa.

I totally agree with using Instagram. Like what @missjey stated that not everyone advertise with Instagram yet making your product be more visible in the site unlike in Facebook where lots of advertisers are already in and flooding with so much advertisements which leads you to having many competitors. you can then eventually link it to Facebook for more details on your product.

I would argue that it would make more sense to advertise on Facebook. While many people use Instagram as well as Facebook, Facebook is designed more logically to support advertisements. Promoting an Instagram post is less likely to reach a dynamic group of interested parties instead of an advertisement run on Facebook's home page.

You advertisement will makes sense when you choose to advertise on Facebook because it offers more a worldwide access than Instagram. Facebook can boosts your advertisement to deliver it in every single news feed of individual. Your advertisement will be more effective when you use Facebook for it.
