If you are a tech savy person then go with any of the OVH brand , if not then skip all the OVH brands since OVH do not offer any support and hence they are so cheap.

We can offer you a managed solution for the PHP website and thats too with 1 Gbps dedicated port with 100 TB monthly bandwidth.

OVH - Good features and pricing but sometimes it has some downtimes for months, not like 99,99% uptime as they offered
Scaleway - They have BareMetal servers available with good price and the network is pretty good but ddos protection is a thing to consider if you decide to choose this provider.
Kimsufi - I think it has same feature because it is a branch of OVH.
Online.net - Good price, I wanted to use a dedicated server there but they only accept credit, I don't know anyone has same this problem with me.
Hetzner - the speed is average in US, load fine in EU but it can be improved more if you use a CDN.
Soyoustart - have more reviews here https://forumweb.hosting/14618-soyoustart-vs-ovh-for-dedicated-server.html
Linode - Good price and features, but with pricing $80/mo I would choose a dedicated server from OVH or Scaleway, instead of using VPS there. And there are many reviews about these providers on this thread https://forumweb.hosting/13126-vultr-vs-ovh-vs-ramnode-vs-linode-vs-digitalocean.html

Great information fwh.

I'll just add that I think the main difference between OVH and Kimsufi is OVH use better hardware and the network bandwidth speeds are better, plus OVH offer much larger SSD drives.

No it is not great info, just basic info under a view of an user (me) :D because I am just person who buying web hosting packages to host websites.
It is better if we have reviews from hosting providers who used or using these providers and giving reviews on pricing, uptime, benchmarks..etc.

I'd rather read what you put which gave me a better idea of which provider I would prefer to use (if I'd never heard/used any of them), than reading a comment from someone who is lazy and only says "try them all" /10char literally! ;)

You are very smart in this case, it is a way for hosting provider improve their services by hearing reviews from their customers.

Some providers always like users using this way, because it is a great advice to have many customers for them :D

If i go with kimsufi without caring about their support, their specs are good enough?

The only trouble with Hetzner is everything is done via email. I have a big enough job managing all my email as it is and if there are any issues with a server with them, then that just adds to the workload because of all the extra emails that have to be tracked. I prefer to use ticket history and would not use any provider who offers email only support. Tickets is best to keep track of history. That said, I know a few who aren't bothered by the email thing.

I like OVH setup, and DDoS protection is included.

Linode offers fast speed in many different locations. The only trouble I found with Linode, Vultr and Linode are the DDoS protection is not that good. So if you are likely to be attacked due to the kind of website you host, then you might want to opt for OVH VPS over the others. Otherwise, you can probably get better speeds and will receive far better support from the others. You have to weight up the pros and cons and decide which one(s) are best for your requirements.

Any of the OVH brands is a solid choice depending on your budget and desired hardware features.
When it comes down to Hetzner their network is good, however their international bandwitdh is not that great compared to some other IaaS providers.

For your website and budget, its better to buy a dedicated server instead of these cloud vpses.

Some tips while choosing servers:

As your websites are PHP based, depending on type of scripts and executions they may need cpu or does not need much. Usually CPU load should not be more.

You need to check for the RAM, SSD, Network IN, Network OUT speeds. Raids are important too.

Also find out you traffic stats and see from where more users are locating to the website.

If you do not wish to use CDN, then choosing your server location nearer to your most traffic will improve things.

Also, small dedicated server should be fine for you, as you are saying that currently VPS is handling it.

You should benchmark your current VPS and see how much more cofiguration or better config on hardware end will meet the needs and decide on your new server.

Do not spend too much on server unless you know that you will use / need high configuration. I assume you are technically knowledged to manage vps or have team handling it.

CPU cores and speeds will be help , if you use control panel softwares or scripts and programs that need cpu constantly. Otherwise low end cpu speeds can handle large sites without much issues if properly configured and control panel is not used.

Hope it helps you, @virtubox posted some benchmarks for ovh and other providers on this forum, may be you can check his threads once to see those. Thanks.

It is also worth mentioning hetzner I believe are changing the additional IP address pricing structure for the dedicated servers very soon.

I heard that you will pay quite a high one off setup fee AS WELL AS a monthly fee.

I will edit and update my post once I have the link to hand.

EDIT
here is the official link from hetzners website be careful if you need extra IPs

THE LINK HERE: docs.hetzner.com/general/others/ipv4-pricing/Screenshot_2021-09-17-04-16-43-781.jpg

I've bought a few services from OVH over the years, and have recently started playing with SYS.

Then, on 5/12 I ordered another dedicated server from SYS, and paid upfront for a whole year. Payment went through Mastercard's secure 3D / multi-factor authentication directly with my bank, so no chance of credit card fraud.

OVH/SYS took payment but did not process the order. 4 days later I got a very bizarre email:

At OVHcloud, the our customers' security is top priority, so we'd like to confirm some of the information you have provided during your recent purchase.
Before validating your order n°XXXXXX, please provide the following documents in response to this email within seven days:

The rest of the email goes on to ask for lots of sensitive personal information, identity documentation, etc. I'm not sure what's going on here. If security really was "top priority", why would they need to collect and store this information about their customers? This is a very dangerous act by OVH/SYS, clearly they have no interest in preserving customer security or privacy. Are they secretly selling our data? Are they giving it to government agencies? Is OVH/SYS some kind of communist/bolshevik organisation? Can any OVH/SYS employees confirm (anonymously of course!)?

So obviously I replied to them telling them I would not comply (they can shove their service up their ass!), but they haven't replied. It's been 8 days now. Still waiting.

I used to recommend OVH/SYS to others. Not anymore. I do not recommend SYS/OVH at all. The little bit of money you'll save is not worth having your identity stolen by a criminal communist/bolshevik cartel.

@jimbaker that's normal to most of hosting companies, and almost 90% them require such documentantions in order to prevent fraudelent/spammers etc and keep their network/services safe.
You don't have to be pissed of if some company has such policies, it is really simple. If you don't like such policies, just don't buy it simple as that. They have the right to implement such policies, you have your right to order/accept them or not.

Hey there!
I'm not familiar with any of the hosting providers you've mentioned. But I would recommend that you examine reviews and support services before picking a firm since many companies just give ticket help, which takes time. Read online reviews.
Choosing the right web hosting plan is one of the challenges because you have a lot of options and types available on the market. It has a greater impact on your overall branding and performance of your online business.
Consider the following characteristics that a trustworthy and dependable hosting service should supply as well:
1. Uptime
2. The amount of storage space available
3. Bandwidth
4. Loading speed
5. Data security
6. Customer service
7. Take advantage of a free trial.
8. Discover extra perks available.
After you've gone through the following checklist, you'll have enough information to choose the finest hosting provider that meets your needs and budget.
Thank you

Well, I used soyoustart around 4 years. Their support is not the best, kinda slow. But their products is nice with the prices provided. I havent got any problem so far from them. Ofc as long as you have enough knowledge to manage your own server.

I ever used online.net too. I don't found any problem as well with their products. But Soyoustarts' price is the best compare with them.

There is an information about Hetzner uses old hardware for their VPS infrastructure and OVH modernise the infrastructure recently. Can anybody confirm that?
