Yes, it's absolutely worth it. Particularly if you have a liking to express your viewpoints on certain niches. For example, if you like to talk about technology, then you can write a blog around it and monetize it. You could use advertising, affiliate, marketing, or sell or promote your own products and services. But first you need to learn everything, check your competition, and gain relevant training for updating yourself with the good practices of nowadays. I think everyone has the concept of make a website/blog/forum and throw up some adds and sit back and watch the money roll in and that could not be further from the truth. The big blogs online that are making $x,xxx a month are established and have been around for a very long time. So if you're going to make a blog make it on something that you're passionate about and don't expect to make any money off of it for a very long time if ever!

A blog would only be effective if you know how to keep it alive and kicking (if you know what I mean). Let's say that you have found an alternative to blogging. Nonetheless, you still have to learn on how to maintain it so it's more or less going to be the same if you are going to establish your blog. For me, it will all depend on you.

if you know how to write and have a certain nich to post. if not you wont drive any traffic in your blog. well that is if you created a blog to make money.

better to have a facebook page to drive traffic in as you can pay fb directly for ads

I think starting a You tube channel is an alternative to blogging. You can start creating Vlogs which is a new trend today. Making videos is better, since they don't get bored if your content is good. I didn't say that reading is boring, but the new trends nowadays are videos since they like watching someone do something funny or something amazing.

Well blogs are a good way to start all you need is passion and a lot of patience, since you won't get enough traffic for you to monetize it. Building a blog doesn't require a lot of technicality, All you need is the basic internet skills and a passion for something great to write.

I do believe in making blogs can make you earn money. But what you need to do is have it regularly updated, if you can do posts twice or thrice a week to make it really lively and that will give you 12 posts a month. Once a week can also be okay but the quality that you need to post should be very high. Now there is another way instead of writing, why not make a Vlog! Do the same posting but you're not going to write just say and project what you want, then you can show the readers that will become viewers the actual thing or topic you are saying.

Great question. I understand why you're asking it. Going by the postings on this thread many people have blogs. That seems to suggest that the blogosphere may be saturated. What blogs do people choose to read when they are so many? From a readers perspective, I'm tired of the acres of content, that you can sometimes find on blogs, and have stopped reading them. From comments I've heard, so have a lot of people. Video content is a good idea, but it may not solve the problem of blog fatigue. This trend is very worrying for those who create their blogs, especially for monetization. They may have to rethink the blog idea.

There are so many things you can post to your blog. Life hacks. That is the first thing I think of. In this era, many people would prefer to save a lot of money and time. They would rather to the stuff by themselves rather than buy the expensive product in the grocery. Best example is the uses of baking soda, something like that. A lot of uses of baking soda; in the kitchen, living room, bathroom, cars, utensils and many more. Be creative. And make your blog not only for reading purposes but can use in everyday life.

I must say yes! Many of us have their blog pages and use it also to have income. Some use blogs to express what they feel or their experience and also it is like some journal who explains what topic they have. I am a fan of reading blogs ( kinda documentaries). Blog are use to create traffic as well, to have followers including subscribers. I am not really sure how things work but I will agree that blogging is important and worth it.
