Which one is effective when it comes to writing a blog. Currently, I am using my laptop to write a blog. I am not wearing any eye glasses. I feel tired easily.

Didn’t try yet to write a blog through paper. My problem is I cannot able to delete neatly if I have some mistake.

What do you think guys?

I wrote anything creative in notebooks or sheets of paper that I always carried around in case a Muse happened to make a quick visit.
These days, I almost always have my computer with me. Having a computer as my choice of putting words down has its benefits and its drawbacks. I can move text around in ways that I could not before and this has helped me organize things more efficiently. Having the choice to edit out things quickly and see them disappear may have hurt my writing at the level of the individual word or phrase. On the other hand, my handwriting is s so inscrutable, even to me, that there are times that I have returned to work and could not read what I had written quickly.

Nice technique dude.

Also, the advantages of writing it in a notebook is that whenever the ideas came into in your mind, you can write it immediately. You can bring your notes everywhere. You can write anywhere. You can write while waiting your turn from a long queue at a department store. You cannot bring your laptop anywhere.

Hi there! :)
I write my blogs and any other information (except the super important one) exclusively on PC/Laptop only. Well first of all it's easier to organize everything there, and secondly paper occupies extra space in the apartment, and we're currently moving to another one. I'm afraid to imagine what will happen if anything valuable gets left behind.

I just have to leave this picture here:

Other than that, I rarely use it to write blog posts, if you do that, you can need to retype them on your PC and it will double time for you.
Hello. Well in my experience as a travel blogger, I usually type notes on my phone. Sometimes I do write my intro there as well (during long travels). I used to write them on pieces of paper, but there are times that it would get lost to be honest. So I would agree in what Cheerag Nundlall said. Besides being organize when creating notes or writing your contents in paper, it'll double up your effort too, cause after writing it, you'll need to type it again.

Oh! But you know one tool has really helped me when I'm just thinking out loud or just wanting to type everything that I am saying, it's the dictation feature of my phone (iOS). I'm not sure if it's the same in Android though. This feature will automatically type everything that you say. I think Google Docs have one too!

I've been actively blogging for four years now and I definitely have found my own creative process. I start on paper every time. This helps me to decide the layout and direction I would like to take when writing. I start out by writing a list of ideas. Things that I think my readers would enjoy reading about. If I'm more specific I run a lifestyle blog. I share products and activities that I have tried. With this in mind, some really good ideas I have drummed up in my "idea journal" may include, "Chemically Straightening My Hair: My Experience and Honest Review", or "Dyson Airwrap: Holy Grail or Bust". After choosing the best idea from my list I go back to my notebook and I make an outline of what I should write and how I should write it. Overall this helps me to be more free with my creative process. I'm not tied down to my home office and I can take my ideas wherever I go. Personally I do not usually ever actually go to my desktop or laptop until I am ready to put together and publish my blog directly and completely.

Except from writing blogs, I also like writing some articles and even short funny stories for a local newspaper. Before I used to write using pen and paper but I realized how many my room was with all the crumpled papers/scratched papers. When I got my first laptop a few years back, I started writing/encoding directly to my laptop and I found it as very convenient and trash-free. it's really easy to make some modifications into it compared to writing on paper.

I agree with you. However, my only problem when using laptop is that my eyes get tired easily. I cannot last for an hour in front of my laptop (except when playing games...lol).

I prefer writing on a Laptop. It saves more time and I am comfortable typing than writing on a paper. Also, it is very easy to erase unwanted information. With just a mouse click, you can change/modify the content of your blog. Whereas, on paper, you would need to strike it off or rewrite it again. Also, one of the most important reasons for me to choose the laptop is because of it being environment friendly. As you know, lots of trees are being cut down for paper so if every individual contributes his/her own self in saving the environment, it would add some value.

I'm not a blogger but, it's pretty obvious that writing on a laptop is more advantageous than writing on a paper. I 've heard that most of the talented writer today use both. But the only reason I can see why other writers still use paper is that they are away from their laptop. If so, I rather use my smartphone than paper because the smartphone has the same features as a laptop.

Nowadays, I noticed that many people are using their laptop in writing blogs than writing on a paper. They say that it is easier to use their laptop because they are comfortable in typing than writing. In addition to that, they can search easily on the internet when they have to search for things or information for their blogs. Some say that their handwriting are not legible so they prefer into typing.
However, for me, specially when I write blogs that needs to be long and very educational, I prefer to write it on a paper. It is because it is faster and easier for me to write down my ideas and observations than typing it on my laptop. I am also comfortable using pen and paper. However, after writing it on a paper and finalized my blog, of course I type it on my laptop and publish it on the internet.

I always have a shorthand notebook. I sometimes write long to-be-blog posts in them.
However, I usually do extensive writing on a computer, then proof-read and add any edits after printing them out.

For me, it's better to write a blogs on computer rather than paper because as a blogger you can think a lot's of ideas and if you use computer you can easily edit your blogs or if there's suddenly that pop ups in your mind you can easily add it in your blogs that you are doing. In computer you can easily save your work.

Yes I also agree with you. There's a lot of features using a computer when writing a blog. You can better read notes and can make back up or stored it digitally . You can edit your work. Everything can be deleted and altered. You can spell check the words and has instant grammar checker. Writing on the computer saves time and if you have internet connection it is easy to access online for more ideas and insights from other bloggers. Finally, of course you don't need an ink.

But still I love a well-bound paper notebook and still love to start writing blog using pen and paper than typing directly on a computer. In addition to that, I think differently when using pen and paper specially when I am writing creatively and need some sketch. Well, maybe that's me....

Well I guess I am different :alien:- I tend to do voice recordings on my IPhone for blog and article ideas. I have a long commute everyday and it is very easy to just tell Siri to record what I am thinking. Later I play back ideas to see if I still think it is a great idea or not. If I like the idea I will save it to my PC. I made all sorts of different topic folders for whatever I am working on.

For the creative process in general I have taken a more Pinterest style approach to ideas, I tend to be very visual and find more ideas in pictures. I love inspiration boards, I really think when you have a highly visual idea of what you want to blog or write about the SEO flows much easier. I just started a BUJO and find I am cutting up all sorts of mass media to add to idea paste ups. This works great to stimulate the ideas and thoughts that I end up recording to myself. After all voice memos work great for middle managers in business so why not for this too.

From the paste ups and inspirations I build a skeleton of the article idea and main points and then fill in the sections. I never feel like I am looking for things to add- if anything I run in to the danger of writing novelettes instead of Blogs.

I don't write blogs all too often, but when I do. I generally write on the computer partially because I don't like wasting paper and especially if I don't have to then I'll always resort to using a computer.
And my personal opinion I find it's excellent for finding grammar and spelling mistakes faster and can publish the post sooner.

I love using computer when I write blogs because I finished my work looks more professional due to formatting (when you use pen and paper you have to make sure that your handwriting is very nice), but I also want to practice how to write in paper because when I work in computer for a long hours my fingers getting hurt as well as my eyes get tired.
