Does anyone have any suggestions to help make a notable and easy to remember domain name? Something more than having it just be the company name, like with something interesting instead of .com. Thanks!

1. You have to create a domain name related to what your website is all about. For instance, your website is all about pet dogs, you can have mypetpuppy.com or ilovedogs.com. If you have company name, you can also put your company name.

2. Other than .com, you can choose also .net, .org and many more.

Domain name likes your name, it relates to which you are doing, you like, you want...etc. You can choose some names as you wanted.
The rest is letting everyone know about your domain name, it likes you are introducing you a new friends.

Domain names should be something that is so familiar to you and of course, related to what your website is all about so people can just type some keywords on google and could easily find your website. With the .com concern, you can use .net, .org or still .com but you add the code of your country like .com .uk, .com.au, com.jp, etc.

I would like to answer the question The domain name should reflect what you do, or what you offer that is unique. Using your own name says nothing, reduces the value of the domain for resale and is a negative for SEO unless you expect to get traffic by users searching on your name. The fact that you are considering using your own name for the domain name hints that you have a little too much ego involved in this website.

You should choose a domain name that is related to your website that you want to create. A simple but unique and catchy domain that can easily remember by your clients or visitors who will visit your website. Don’t use a domain name which is very hard to remember and a bit confusing to pronounce. You have to think and prepare more than 5 domain name options and pick the best one.

Like everybody says: The domain name should be related to what your site is about.
I don't want to buy clothes when I search for dentistsglobal.com.

And if you can get .com, take it. It's not a local thing, like .be, .fr, .au, and it makes your site sound more professional.
Unlike when it ends with something fishy. I don't know one from the top of my hat, but for example, if it ends with .scam or .xl

Learning from this forum, you can choose a new domain name with new tlds like .hosting, .site, .online, .best, .io, .tools...etc
Why? because nowadays good domain names with .com are taken and you have less opportunities to own them.

My personal opinion is to choose a perfect domain name is:

1) A domain name should be 2 or 3 words only.
2) It should be easily memorize.
3) It should have SEO keyword, if possible.
4) It should not contain any special character.
5) It should end with a .COM tld because when you enter your domain name in address bar and press CTRL+ENTER, it automatically goes to .COM by-default.

If you follow atleast these minimum criteria, you will get the domain name you desired.
