Is remote Mysql connection safe?

In Plesk control panel, when creating a new mysql database, it has an option to allow mysql database to remotely, is that safe and secure for my website? or should I use local mysql connection only?

Unless you specifically need remote access for something specific, most applications don't and you will know if you do, then definitely leave it disabled.

Which is "remote" will allow ports or connection to connect to so it will not safe like using local connection.

unfortunately, remote access to mysql database is not secure.
