I bought a decent Linux VPS but for some reasons I wanted to move it to 2 or 3 different VPS's without reinstalling everything from scratch. Is that possible? How can I clone a Linux VPS?

You can use rsync, Mondorescue, or LVM Snapshots if you are running LVM. Be careful when doing this process as you can easily damage your data with one line. For guru support, these things can be done easily. However, if you are new in VPS management I would advise you to test it locally on your system using VM or something. Now the easiest route is to move the important stuff manually. Sometimes your host can provide you with iso of your VPS for a small fee. Here at How Tekno we provide backup for our customers for a small fee since we use Virtualization software to help us manage ALL the VMs with ease.

Good Luck,

You could reach out to the provider. It's possible their VPS cluster is equipped to clone servers (for DR-purposes) but may be willing to utilize it to help you accomplish your cloning requirements.

If you will be using multiple VPS, you may also find that many VPS reseller accounts will provide you with ability to clone and deploy your servers on-demand.

I don't really understand these techniques, maybe I should go with easier way as backup and restore data on new hosting.
