I want to try Vestacp on a VPS because it is free and will save my money, but I also like using Debian 8 but not sure Vestacp can run on Debian 8 or not? does anyone confirm me?

Actually, i don't recommend to anyone to use vestacp. They have a lot of security issues in the past few weeks. Yes, you will save some money, but your server and data may be at risk.

If you don't have a lot of budget, i would suggest you to buy a DirectAdmin lifetime license for 300$. It's safe, supported and updated and easy to manage.

You can run VestaCP on Debian 8, but you shouldn't. Use at least Debian 9, because Debian 8 Jessie isn't supported anymore and do not receive any updates since June 2018.

If someone do not have a lot of budget, I'm not sure he will pay $300 for a lifetime license... There are several free alternative like CentosWebPanel or Virtualmin

As mentioned above, the panel will work on Debian 8, but Vesta had persistent security issues. Directadmin will be much better, but if you still decide to choose Vesta - then immediately after installation, change the standard port 8083 to another one, for example 20983, this will slightly reduce the risk of hacking.

Also, do not neglect the standard ways to secure the server, such as disabling the root account, etc.
