Can you please look at one of the sites from my portfolio? So about a few days ago I did a website redesign, check it out: http://under-the-open-sky.com. What do you think about its design?

website looks good for me, I only don't like its domain with hyphen between words.
It looks like unprofessional domain name.

Hello, @Kopaje! Pretty good job! Your website seems to be almost done on my point of view and I like that esthetic design. Please, don't overthink that, but the one thing if you let me be meticulous to the last detail is the inscription "under" which is above "the open sky" in lettering "under the open sky" in the upper left corner. I'll call that the visual-semantic discrepancy of the brand communicative concept.

This is a very nice design. There's nothing sticking out like a sore thumb and the website is fast to load and browse pages.

One thing that doesn't sit quite right though, is the animation below your navigation bar. It's sort of just floating around with no real purpose. Adding some text (even something as simple as "Welcome to Under the Open Sky" would be an improvement), or a call to action.

I'm a sucker for a little bit of animation (theboss.host if I may demonstrate). Hey I think the page is cool and unique. You may want to add "Store" to the top menu to let people know there are products and they should be looking for them.

Also the site is a tad slow. You have over-sized images (https://under-the-open-sky.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Safety-Tips-for-Camping-Alone_1.jpg). They need to be compressed and cropped. I think your server is not going to be fast enough even with Cloudflare added. No problems tho. I know you can't do everything at once!

Hi, your website design looks good but you should avoid hyphen in a domain name and you have a very long domain name it should be less because, if you have less domain name so it's easy to remember and easy to search. It will help to increase your website traffic otherwise your pages your design everything was wonderful

I actually quite like it! I feel it has more of a minimalist approach to design. The animation on the main image was a really nice touch too, I loved the character design. Overall, a very intuitive and slick site that I had no trouble surfing through. You definitely did a great job.

Nicely done, the animation looks great. The only thing I will suggest for modification is, maybe it will look a lot better if you move the fishing guy on the right side. Overall the page looks great.

Overall the page is great. Good job! The only downside (at least for me) is even though font is good looking, it is not so user friendly and makes a bit harder to read. I would recommend you to at least try a font that is a bit more cleaner.

Hi! Design-wise I have no problem with it, it looks neat and I love the colours used. The positioning of the categories with their featured posts is some what unique as well. Because I usually see blogs having sliders when it comes to their featured posts. One thing with that I think putting the category on the upper left side of the featured photo is quite redundant already. For me highlighting the said category is enough already to know which category is it.

One more that I would like to highlight the email field when subscribing to the Newsletter. I think you'll need to make the font colour lighter for the sample email "[email protected]" or make it disappear once the user has clicked on the field. Because what happens now is, the cursor blends in with the sample email upon clicking the email field.

But besides that it's a good design. I really love it, hoping to see more of your work in the future too.
