Correct me if I am wrong.

There are two types of shared hosting operating system (Linux Or Windows):
1. Linux Hosting: Linux is an open-source operating system that is most popular and used in web hosting industry. cPanel is an Control Panel application used in Linux Servers,

2. Windows Hosting: Websites that require any windows applications to run then they have to choose Windows Hosting. Plesk is an Control Panel application used in Windows Servers,

I want to know more about this! Can you share me some knowledge of yours?

Basic difference is the Operating System on which the Server is based.

Plesk is a control panel which is having both Linux and Windows Support and can install in a centos/ubuntu/debian/windows servers as well.

Cpanel is a control panel to manage hosting accounts and services of a linux server and is mainly used for Linux hosting and not having a windows support.
