If you go to a website, what are the design factors that will see you sticking around to browse more?

I'm in the process of developing a website for my travel writing, but I really want to get some opinions about what design elements you gravitate towards, and which design elements see you closing out of a webpage.

Thanks in advance for your input.

The first I can tell is to try to not put many ad's sites with many ad's is my first reason to run out.
Font size a d type is other important point.
Don't make it so big as we think you are yelling, don't use fonts that are hard to read or understand.
Tey to the important content in the first 60% of screen.

Nowadays internet is full of adds and lots of information, so it's nice to visit a minimalistic website with great content, easy navigation and no unnecessary ads, pop-ups and other add-ons that fill every blank space.

I would say that the extraordinary visual design is always something that would make people admire certain brand, service or website. It should have a good functionality as well.

You are right, a visually appealing website can leave a positive first impression, capturing users' attention and drawing them in to explore further. Aesthetic elements, such as beautiful graphics, well-chosen colors, and modern layouts, can enhance the overall user experience and contribute to a brand's credibility. However, good functionality is equally crucial. A visually stunning website loses its charm if it lacks user-friendly navigation, fast loading times, and clear calls-to-action. Combining striking design with excellent functionality ensures a well-rounded and engaging user experience, increasing the chances of visitors staying longer, interacting with the content, and potentially becoming customers or clients.

Oh ok this is a nice question and interesting. ok so attracting people is hard cause we all know people are different. example, joey and bryan are different why? cause joey likes dogs but bryan don't. and that's why not all people get attract to some website. so.. making and attracting people to your website is hard. but asking people of what they want to see in your website is the greatest idea. make a poll that asking people of what they want to see and how your going to attract them. people all over the world are using social media and that's the greatest site to talk about something. but there's many kind of site that you can ask too, like this site. this is awesome site to start a website and this is a awesome site too to ask a question. but how i get attracted to a website? i get attracted to a website if i can LEARN something. I get attracted to a website if it's ENTERTAINING. I get attracted to a website if it's SIMPLE AND LIGHT ( i really hate those website that have black backgrounds ). and finally i really like those website that i can WATCH some videos like YouTube.

A site where navigation is easy and I can click to get to where I need to. I think have a contact page is good if you end up having people that like your site also. Keep the colors of your site pretty simple. Neon colors are hard for people to look at. You also want to remember who is planning on going to your site. Personally I like sites that have feeds of their social media to see if they are posting something interesting on there.

If you go to a website, what are the design factors that will see you sticking around to browse more?

The question is pretty basic, but here are just a couple of things I consider when looking at a website:

1. Relevant content: it has to give me the information or benefits I need. That's my main reason for looking at most websites anyway.

2. Secure: Random searching on the internet makes us stumble and fall into some random sites, and some may not look as credible as they appear to be. It's hard to trust anything in the cyberspace these days, so phishing and threat-infested sites are an absolute no-no.

3. User-friendly: Simplicity and ease of navigation are the keys to more website visitors, thus, making it "attractive".

4. Engaging: With user-friendliness, a website also gains more and more visitors by interactive features such as videos, polls and forums that trigger audience participation, making it a free flow source of ideas. More interaction equals more site traffic.

The first impression I believe is the Color, Design and the content. A perfect combination of all these will tend the visitor to stay back and check pages. Make sure to avoid ads and display the contents in a good way for your targeted visitors.

The main things that grab my attention when visiting a website are the colors and the structure of the sections (text) of a web page. I like well-structured websites, which are easy-to-navigate and which don't have intrusive popups and ads.

The layout of the site is extremely important as well. There is no point in having a good modern design that looks good if your users can't find anything on your site easily.

It completely depends on what we needs and what we want to buy.
if you need to buy web hosting then you will look at plans and its features and prices.
if you need web design server then you will look at previous samples.
if you need web development service then you will find prices and services and contact details.
if you need some information then you will read content to gather info.

so it depends on you what you need. well design always matter for you.

After the visitor lands for the first time on your website, they usually tend to look for simple design, great content, simple interface, fast page loading speed, design simplicity, and most importantly free offers. If your website is well equipped with these factors then you can take advantage of the online presence of your website to digitally showcase your products and services to the users later converting it to the sales.

Personally speaking, a good User Interface combined with a flawless User Experience makes me visit a website more often.
If it is a website about arts, I would prefer the site to display everything in a way that is eye pleasing and is very simple in terms of accessing the content. The poll should be simple, and should be placed at a point where more people would likely be interested in participating.

Subtlety is another factor that makes a website more attractive. The fonts, the colors and the overall content should be organised and implemented in such a way that it is super subtle.
The latest trend is to have a flat design for your website. Go with the flow. It would solve a lot of UI/UX problems as well.

When it comes to aesthetics, I think the best website design is simple but elegant. I personally prefer something easy on the eyes, but not so extravagant that I get distracted by reading the information I’m trying to find. And I’m sure many people wants the same. In terms of usability, I just want a site that’s easy to navigate and without annoying popups and advertisements as possible. To get all these done and make things easier for me, I also hired a web design Milton Keynes based company. They even provided me with some advice regarding the most important design elements to consider. Anyway, that’s in it for me.

For me there are at least 4 must have features of every website:
1. Clean Design - Keep your design simple!
2. Speed - You have 3 seconds to make an impression or your visitors will leave.
3. Friendly Content
4. Ease of Use - Clean navigation is the key!
