I think both are great apps. It depends on my time though. If I am given enough time to edit photos I would go for Photoshop. Lightroom is more convenient for fast editing. One more thing that we need to consider is our knowledge of the usage of both apps. One can be better than the other if we know exactly how to use its features and functions.

These two apps is good when it comes to editing. It is simply Lightroom for some beginners which wanted to learn simple editing skills while the Photoshop makes you a professional one because Photoshop is much harder to use than Lightroom. So for me, start with Lightroom and get over with Photoshop to make your skill improve.

I think both applications have their own edge. When it comes to design purposes, photo manipulation and incorporating more creativity, Photoshop is the app. But when it comes to color grading, Lightroom is the best app for me. Although Lightroom has minimal features and Photoshop has it all, both applications are great and serve their purpose and function well. I think that if one is being torn between the two, they should think of how they want their pictures to come out.
