Do Android Apps need CDN?

I have found that some of the Websites and blogs are making use of the CDN for content and media. So I am thinking there are many apps which are moving away from the website for content delivery. By media, I mean video, images and other content which can get recurring and perfect candidate for CDN in case of websites. So I want to know if there are any CDN that are being used for the App content? Do you think small publishers can make use of CDN for their app media delivery?

I am not sure I understand your questions.

Whether you use a CDN for content being loaded inside your app will heavily depend on how your app is built and whether you have control over the content your app is loading/downloading.

As to publisher size and CDN, a publisher of any size can use a CDN if they desire.

Is there a specific use case or more details you are able to provide?

I have seen some of the publisher making use of the recurring media elements like image and video. And this if served from say Amazon AWS may result in a lot of bill. And that can be reduced if these are just requests fetched from CDN. So that's why I was looking for an option where you can make use of the CDN service for elements used within the App.

I don't think there are any CDNs that allowing Android Apps to run on it, because CDN is just designed for websites and its content (media, images, content...etc).
If yes then it is very less providers for this, you can try google "cdn for mobile app" and see some results but I am not sure you can find more good ones there.

Like I said in the question. I did meant that the content media, images would be served by CDN. The thing is that the app is going to have webview under which the elements will be compiled. And this means CDN can be used in such case. I didn't searched google with that query because I know the purpose of CDN but I just wanted to host media content as it is and use CDN for serving. So it's app or content agnostic requirement.
