Godaddy to Plesk VPS

Do not understand what I'm doing about this. I just want to point my domain to it and then upload a wordpress theme. Please help.

So if I understand you correctly , you have a domain registered with Godaddy and you want to host it on your Plesk VPS .. is the VPS hosted with godaddy itself or with other provider ?

The question is what name servers are serving DNS for this domain. If you are hosting the domain on your own VPS I would suggest also serving DNS for the domain from the VPS.

Create the account for the domain in Plesk then create two A records for ns1 and ns2 in your domains DNS.
Update the name servers for the domain to ns1.yourdomain.com ns2.yourdomain.com and add the glue records for the IP(s) of your server.

If the DNS is being hosted elsewhere you just need to edit the records and point them at the IP(s) of your VPS.

If you are owning a VPS at Godaddy, buying a Plesk license and setup it on. After that, pointing your domain to your VPS and you can setup Wordpress site.

I used hosting at Godaddy in the past, you can have better hosting package if you spend 10 minutes to check out some VPS companies, I am sure you will find out a good VPS for your site, there are many that better than Godaddy out there.
