Webmin vs Centos Web Panel

I felt tired for paying paid control panels as cPanel, DA or Plesk. I would go with a free hosting control panel to cut cost for web hosting fees. Anyone can suggest me which free hosting panel is the best, I've read on the forum and found two names, webmin and centos web panel, can I install them on a managed VPS? and which is better?

Webmin would be my pick for a free solution, yes you can install it on a managed VPS.
If you already have cPanel on your server it cannot easily be removed and is recommend to reinstall the whole server if you need to get rid of it.

I will also suggest Webmin/VirtualMin as that is the best and long term available free one and is also compatible with the latest Os versions as well. The other free one, we are not at all sure whether they will be continuing the updates for the same or whether they have fixed the security hole / bugs etc.

Well you can think of other control panels too such as Kloxo .. this control panel have some what same working as Cpanel and so far many people are using it.

I've been looking at different control panel options and some of the free options are of interest. These two in particular have been mentioned around here and other sites.

What is it about Webmin that makes it a better choice?

I seem to not be able to find clear answers anywhere.

Between these two I would suggest using Webmin. However I think that all of us suggest panel that they are familiar with. Both of them have a great features. You can ask your provider, depend on how server is managed, what would be their choice.

In terms of only website hosting as cpanel a lot of options but in reality not everything used by everyone. Compare to that with all core functions and features which is better free option?? centos panel or webmin??

So one can use on fast VPS server and get better solution for only websites.

One of the free control panels that were not mentioned was VestCP, it is simple to install and configure, simple instructions and it is light and very fast and yet powerful, you should try it. Virtualmin can be installed at once with Webmin it is a great free CP but still a little complex.
