Do people still code HTML and CSS by hand?

I am wondering at this time people still code HTML and CSS by hand? If yes, then what advantages we can have from doing this way?
or just using an existed CMS (Wordpress, Joomla...) to continue develop it with their ideas?

Yes I'm still using HTML and CSS code by hand, most of the time using a simple php script for the page management (SEO friendly URL).
If you don't need to have a dynamic site, there is no reason to use a CMS.
A simple php website will be faster than any CMS, and will not use server resources.

I am learning HTML and CSS and hope I can build my own website in the near future, I tried to write codes but it is consuming more time so I support using software like Macromedia Dreamweaver is a good tool for beginners and it save our time.

I do coding by hand but lately I am starting to use software that is drag and drop just because it saves a lot of time but the problem with that is you are not able to make a completely custom website.

Of course, some people are still creating HTML and CSS by hand. I know that WYSIWYG tools are pretty impressive because it makes everyone to feel more comfortable in making a website. But there are so many reasons out there that WYSIWYG tools are not recommendable to use. That's why i'm preferring that we must type HTML using our bare hands but some people think that HTML editing is quite hard because it displays a lot of codes in your computer and it makes you to feel crazy. But most of the people did it by hand in order to create much better website than others because you have the power to control and manipulate it.
