Putting an email address on your website may attract spammers and trolls. Perhaps some spiders/bots might even roam the net collecting these to give to spammers.
Do you put your email on your website or do you just use a contact us form?

Do you put your email on your website or do you just use a contact us form?
If you are wondering about what to do,
your question has no right or wrong answer, or a "what is best" answer.
Technically you can do "either/or", and in our case, we use "Both".
Much of it depends on the type of website you run.

If you expect the occasional email, then you may not need an extensive ticket script or contact form. Putting a simple email address as contact info would suffice. However, if you do so, you should make it harder for spiders and bots to extract information by adding your email address into an image, as opposed to just typing it as text onto your page.

If choosing to use a "contact us" form, just be aware that this will be no guarantee that you won't be spammed. Current bots are programmed to look for certain fields and extract information from them, and/or submit spam to you anyway. So in the end, think about the type of experience you want for your customers and visitors to have, and decide what to do based on that.

We do and there are ways to protect it while maintaining its mailto: functionality. There are several approaches, some by scripting, some by html entities (no scripting involved).

Why Now... Create a Contact us page and add your email address in that page.

Definitely yes, you need to put your email for your subscribers and to win their trust. Otherwise, they are gonna thing you are a spammer. Always mention your email on your contact, so a reader will always trust you and can make a good connection with your website or blogs. You need to be clear about yourself if you are sharing a content or a niche with other people on internet.

I see no reason why you should share your email address on your sites. I have for years, and I have never had any trouble, that I know of, ever come from it. This also lends an air of credulity to your site and gives everyone who visits it a direct line of communication with you should they need it.

I prefer to use contant form for communicating with the visitors to my website. I associate my comtact form with my best email. having email address directly visible to the visitors will surely clutter my inbx with nonesense. If your website is just a blog, there is no necesary to have your email listed on your website. However, if you sell services and products having email will help you to inprove sales.

Depends on the type of solicitation you want. A web form with capacha will likely work for your needs and you can avoid the spam from web crawlers.

It's totally depend on the type of website you have. If you've very high traffic then it's fine to go with the contact form. Make sure to place the captcha on it. Captcha will reduce the amount of spamming.

You can place the email address if the site has not too much traffic and you are receiving the frequent traffic.
