I have seen more big bloggers didn't use affiliate links on their blogs

Reasons why they are applying that because
Adding affiliate links could be hurting their sales?
Affiliate links can decrease their reputation on the blog?

Any thoughts?

For me, I see a lot of bloggers using affiliate links on their blogs. What I recommend bloggers to do is to not use affiliate links or banners on their sites. Instead, replace all the affiliate banners with your optin forms or your own product banners.

So that you can push any affiliate stuff via email marketing, you'll even get more commissions that way instead of using your blog.

That's good, you should learn from that. Use your blog to capture leads.

An affiliate link is an Internet hyperlink that redirects potential customers from one web site to another website. Affiliate link operation requires the sending of tracking codes upon user selection of the link ("clicks the link") that identifies which affiliate partner the user has come from. It wouldn't be used within the blogs as it is a negative point from the sales point of view.
