To be honest you should do most of this yourself. Your graphics work needs to come first. Find a designer for this of course. Then lots of content. If you rely on crappy article writers you will get nonsense articles with no value. This is your field, your hobby, your passion - you need to be writing about this. Get researching, have a pen and paper ready and find ideas for your first 20 articles. These should be published before you advertise so your visitors have content to consume.
You need to work on your perma-links for site structure, get an SSL certificate, redirect all traffic to HTTPS.
Work on Site Optimsation. Use tools such as GTMetrix, Google PageSpeed and Pingdom to get your site running fast. You want to be on solid hosting with Nginx or LiteSpeed, running PHP 7 with OpCache and use the W3 Total Cache plugin. With all that done if you're not getting 1 second page loads then look for other hosting.
Only then should you start advertising. For a craft site I think you'd do well on Facebook so get your Social Media hat on and start creating content geared towards FB.
