1 blog post or 1 video a day keeps my internet marketing business going and helps me generate more leads and buyers for my products. Or simply send an email promoting an affiliate program.

But at first when I was not generating sales it was not this easy. What I would do (which I still do sometimes to grow my audience) was to keep adding new people to my social media accounts (tumblr, google+, twitter, facebook and I use vk(.)com as well). I also had to create more content (at least 2 posts per day) and post a couple of times on social media to reach more people.

I put all my effort into social media and nothing else. I also do blog commenting and forum marketing but since I'm generating a stable income I no longer do it often.

1 blog post or 1 video is working well for me at the moment because I managed to build a huge audience and I no longer use any paid traffic, I don't need to.

Hope that helps :)

Its not easy thats for sure lol... The more you expand into different niches the more complicated it becomes... Its a juggling act... I actually developed my own database to manage that which helps with managing contracted work to freelancers etc also... My approach is different to Nytshade - although I'm certainly looking more to social media these days so that definitely counts... but that said I still meddle around with GSA, IP proxies, PBNs and smashing the sh** out of G for fun and for learning hahahaha lol as that part of trying to beat/understand G's algo is truly my hobby/passion ;-) .... But that said I'm much more reformed these days....

For my best niches I keep it above board and run it like a business with the meticulous planning primarily based on content marketing.... a rolling plan for 6 months+ at a time....with costs and fiscal investment and ROI determined as part of milestones/review phases... and revised planning for next round implementation....

My approach is to make sure everything is scheduled/planned well in advance... e.g. new niches, 50+ articles, competition analysis etc... Break it down so that each task is small... each day and then make it so that you have only a handfull to worry about....

Generally speaking I use a hybrid approach of ads when starting new campaigns - specifically to list build whilst in parallel using SEO/content marketing.... for the long haul..... The key is to be extremely organized and to bite the bullet and just do the stuff you have planned.... but keep in mind only take on what you can chew, outsource the rest..... Staying motivated is not easy... Have a read of my post here and you'll see a little more of what I do when I'm in that zone: http://www.webmastersun.com/threads/8162-Other-than-money-what-motivates-you

I hope that helps! Stay motivated... keep your plans simple for each day but also an eye for the long haul ;-) My biggest motivation is personal circumstances - kids, wife all needing to be looked after... Its enough for me to keep me on my toes and to try my best to stay on top of things ;-)

Above all stay happy and spend time with your loved ones - as that makes everything easier....

Cheers,

Sid

One thing I also have to mention is that my number 1 traffic source is search engine traffic (SEO) but I don't do any off-page optimization (backlinks). Everyday I get a lot of traffic from search engines than the traffic I get from social media.

So even if I don't post anything on social media I still get tons of traffic from Google, Bing, Yahoo, Ask, Yelp and other search engines.

The best tip I can give you is this:

Stay away from the internet marketing niche!

A lot of people are skeptic in the IM niche and it's not easy to promote internet marketing stuff. Choose niches that people are passionate about, that's how you'll make tons of money. And stick to one niche till you can generate a stable income then move on to other niches, don't be all over the place or else you won't make a stable income you'll work 10x harder instead of working smart.

I find that 9 months is a good period to make 1 niche to generate a profitable and stable income for me then I can try other niches.
