Laptop is better for work because it can be carried around with us, more userfriendly and are available nowadays in all different sizes we like, We can choose which are more apt for our particular work

Laptop for sure; not only can I take it with me anywhere, work out of a coffee shop, travel...... But I can also go outside and enjoy the weather and work under an umbrella. My Acer is a tank and does everything I want it to do and then some; I find no absolute reason to own a Desktop unless you are into intense animation or gaming.

What are you talking about getting 6 months out of a Windows PC @ericplotz1? I've always used either Windows or Linux, and I have absolutely no interest in any sort of Apple products. I can build a BEAST Windows PC that will outperform any Mac, and will do so for years to come.... At a fraction of the cost!

It all depends on how you take care of your computers. I've had a Windows PC last 5 years without any issues whatsoever, while I watch friends go through Mac after Mac after Mac.

I agree with most of the replies here, a laptop is better because you can take it with you. I use a laptop and a Asus T100 when I go to meetings and stuff and I use a stationary at home.

I'm using a PC 20 inches for my work, I'm going to change its screen to a bigger one, like 28 inches. But I thought about buying a Laptop, it can more convenient for my work when I go out home...like I work at a cafe internet...etc

what types of computer are you using, Laptop or PC?
and in your point of view, which is better for work?

Please give me a share
One simple thing.. if you work at the office/ home and not going anywhere then a PC, if you're mobile and bussines man moved work over home, and in office, and then anywhere.. choose a laptop for bussines.
Would better if you have both .. choose PC specs for Designer and buy a small laptop or notebook (netbook) for bussines

I believe PC is better for work. Personally I always prefer Desktop computer than Laptop. Although currently I'm using a laptop computer.

My point of view is that it'll depend on your accommodations and the space that you disponed to install the computer if you have a small desktop you'll probably rather choose a laptop but if you owned a big desktop and have your personal office you can have a PC in which you will have more capacity to increase its features and enhance its performance. On the other hand, if you're a freelancer and you're constantly traveling and moving around the country you will need a laptop or a Mac. I'll say that we better have both laptop and Pc.:geek:

In terms of mobility and accessibility laptops are the best in my opinion. Nowadays people tend to travel while doing work. This is where laptops comes in handy, the lightweight design of laptops makes it more convenient to use basically anywhere. Also in terms of power and speed, laptops are enough to make you through your transactions.

I don't have a laptop right now. But, I'm planning on getting a laptop so I can do more work while I'm out. Laptops 15inch and smaller are great for portable use.

Laptop is better. You can carry it anytime and anywhere you go. Easy to use and user friendly also.
Laptop is like a mobile phone, you can charge it anywhere as long as there has electricity plug.

I use both and like both of them. I have a window10 for my desktop and a Lenovo laptop. I like to use the laptop when I am outside the house. However, when I am home I use my desktop. Between the two of them, I prefer using the desktop.

Laptops have a great advantage in terms of their portability. If you carry a laptop with you, your applications and documents are always immediately available. With a wireless card, your laptop can also access the Internet while on the go, so you have more places to do research, check your email, and be more productive. Desktops offer other advantages. Although laptop prices have come down and performance has increased, most desktops offer a better price-to-performance ratio. Your decision should be based primarily on how you plan to use your computer and the size of your computing budget.:)

It all depends on where you do your work most often. Having both a desktop and laptop is a plus. I was a pure laptop user before and now that I use a desktop, I couldn't go back. The bigger screen. A separated keyboard. A mouse. The speed. (My desktop is more powerful than my laptop)

My advice for you is to buy both the bigger screen (keep the PC) and the laptop. Trust me. It helps to have the right equipment for the right use. Use the PC when you're working at home. Use the laptop when you want to change scenery.

You can not compare a Laptop with a phone. Also the OP is asking comparisons between a Laptop and a PC. Laptop can work better in any cases but PC has larger monitor and better specifications thus it has more advantages in these points.

I prefer using my laptop because of the convenience it provides. I spend a lot of time writing and my laptop has all the plug ins and apps that are helpful in one place. I also ocassionally travel, so it is much easier having a laptop.

I used to prefer PCs because the performance of laptops was not at a sufficient level. But things have changed over time: now I need mobility for work, but I also like to play modern shooters. That's why I use Lenovo Legion, this laptop meets all my needs. I also plan to get myself a proper gaming mouse, but it's a bit difficult to do because I have a big hand. By the way, when I work or play at home, I connect a 24-inch monitor to a laptop and a keyboard. So I get comfort, like on a PC.
